I believe you get two compensatory 3rd round picks, one for the current draft year and another one the following year. I tend to agree and would be happy for Raheem, but good coaches are always hard to find, however McVay is good at it.

It's not only the coaches you lose because they were hired as HC's. It's also the assistants they bring with them.

If I was McVay and Raheem got a HC gig, I'd say, "I'm making Aubrey Pleasant the DC so don't even think about it!!!"

Following training camp, he was hired as an offensive assistant by the Washington Redskins and promoted to defensive quality control coach the following year. He assisted defensive backs coach Raheem Morris with the development of rookie Bashaud Breeland, who went on to tie for the rookie lead in passes defensed with 14. The following year, Perry Fewell replaced Morris as DB's coach, where he and Pleasant helped with the transition of DeAngelo Hall and developments of rookies Quinton Dunbar and Kyshoen Jarrett.

I love the fact McVay lets guys take promotions elsewhere but I wish he'd put his foot down sometimes.

I do NOT understand why Ron Rivera is near the top of this list. HE is THE man who kept that franchise somewhat sane thru all of the ownership bullshit. They are trying this year with a so-so young QB, and should be able to draft a premier QB prospect next year if he doesn't pan out. I'd give him two more years because his guys play hard for him.

With these numbers I don't think our couching staff has to look over their shoulders.

I’d take Raheem over Staley any day and all day Sunday. But there is that race driven compensation when he leaves. I’d take Staley then as a runner up type prize. Morris has done an Excellent job coordinating the defense, staff and players. And he works really well with MCV. I hope we get him another ring before he moves on.
