I’m still not sold as elated as I am with the W. Next week is a huge test. 9ers are top tier. If Rams somehow win next week, what will everyone be thinking then I wonder.

I will post the week 2 REACTION. Thread later in the week. Probably Wednesday. It will be the same 4 options with a tweak to the narrative fitting of the hated ones.

No doubt. But are we really expecting a team, who's fanbase overwhelmingly picked them to have 5 to 7 wins on the year, to beat one of the top 2 teams in the conference? In week 2? I'm expecting a better game that any of us imagined 2 weeks ago but that's a tall task. We're not going 17-0 so I'd prefer a loss to them in week 2 and a win over them in week 17 to go into the playoffs on a high note. 8-)

Got to give it to Param, 34 and Elvis

You gents have been higher on the Rams than most, I am sure I am missing others.

I am very happy to eat crow on the defense for now.

My thoughts on the game...

Great job by the offense to sustain drives and keep the Hawks offense off the field. Stafford looks like he 28 not 35. He was as sharp as I have ever watched in a Rams game.

Puka and Atwell- excellent games nuff said. VAN van, come on man make the easy plays!!
Where was the Hawks vaunted DB's??

Kyren was great, a little concerned about Akers, but he didnt get any room to really work.

O-line pass block was excellent, run blocking needs some work

Defense- Blown away with what they did, even in the first half, I was very happy with only 13 points. I do think Seattle helped a bit by abandoning the run. Rams finally got some pressure on Geno. I was impressed with the stickiness of the Rams Db's

Ok on to SF..

SF will not abandon the run, Purdy is way better than Geno with better weapons. I hope more than anything we can have a competitive game, it will be our toughest test all season until we play them again. We better clean up the edge integrity or its gonna be a very long Sunday afternoon.

The Rams will be ready to play. I want to see them shove it down Pete Carroll's throat.

At least those two predictions were right!

Love it when Carroll swallow's his gum before the game is over.

I'm happily eating crow today. That is what we get for listening to the so called experts. Yeah, its only one game. But that one game sure changes the narrative.

Whatever happens next week I feel like mission accomplished. They gave us 4 tough games in the first 5 weeks. I felt like we needed to steal one of those games if we're gonna make a run when the schedule gets easier. We did that already.

The way the Bengals looked I have to wonder if maybe we got a shot at stealing a second game and going 3-2 before the schedule gives us easier opponents.

Preseason is meaningless and tells you nothing. Week one is real but can definitely lead to overreactions. As always, we're gonna just have to watch and see how it all plays out...

Yes, but overreactions occur all season long. In both directions. A few things my eyes told me yesterday was McVay can coach, Stafford can play QB, our OL is beefier and our run game re-emphasized. All good things. As far as the defense goes, there may be some overreaction there. They're young and they're going to make some mistakes but one thing McVay said that looks like it rings true is they want to compete and they have an attitude (no fear). That product won't be finished until years end, if not later. But it's encouraging to know they're young and talented. Lastly, Young made a couple of plays, Turner too and Puka is a steal in the 5th. I like the way Kyren runs and Tutu may be a player after all.

Funny how that schedule can change from extremely difficult to doable.

The Bengals looked bad. I didn't see the game but I heard the Eagles didn't look like a powerhouse either. Losing both coordinators might take them down a notch. Pittsburgh looked bad but how much of that was the Steelers and how much the niners? Dallas looked real good on defense. How much was the Cowboys and how much the Giants, a team I believe played waaaay over their heads early last year and have gone 3-7-1 since. I wasn't impressed offensively. Prescott was 13 of 24 for 143 yards. It's a long season and our schedule may not be as daunting as first believed.
