Many teams release "depth charts" after camp. My question is "what for"? The Rams have release a "2023 Unofficial Depth Chart". Is it to help the media? The fans? Motivate certain players?

I cite one article on the Bills depth chart. Is Basham being intentionally motivated by the depth chart? Are some Rams players being motivated by the depth chart?

I know. If you need to be motivated, you've already got a problem. But still.....

Ha. What's any of it for? Entertainment. Another thing for NFL fans to consume. I think all the teams do it around the same time so i'm guessing it's mandatory but not sure about that...
