Pro Bowl

Elvis wrote:BTW that last meaningless Cleveland TD had a lot betting implications. Everyone is talking about the bad beats but what about the lucky covers?

Rams had a game at the Coliseum against the Eagles that ended the same way and if i remember it right, caused the Rams not to cover the spread. (They were already going to lose.) And i think i've seen it at least one other time...

Or Super Bowl XIV. The Rams seemed a shoe-in to beat the 11.5 point spread, if not win outright. Then the Steelers took the 5-point lead. Then the Steelers got the clinching TD to cover. And the final score didn't look so great, after all.

Not that I had any money on it. But it still was insult to injury. My then brother-in-law had some money on the Rams, he was plenty upset about it.

And yet after all that, I still have (some) fond memories of that game.
