About that "speed" thang....

NFL true genius guy, Bill Walsh.....smart fellow right?

I remember Walsh brought in 6'1" 177 lb Renaldo "Skeets" Nehemiah, the WORLD RECORD HOLDER OF NUMEROUS SPRINT EVENTS....WITH A 4.1 FORTY TIME :shock2: ......who hadn't played College football, but was tabbed by Bill Walsh for the SF roster in any case, beating out other interested NFL teams.

Whilst Nehemiah did play for SF 1982-84, won a SBXIX Ring, and played in 40 NFL games....
um, 43 Total catches, 754 yds., 4 career TDs..... :| :arrow2: :?

Did I mention that 4.1 Forty time??? :lol2:

Like all Rams fans, I hope what McVay saw in TuTu Atwell was NOT a mirage, and the kid ends up as a present day Desean Jackson 8-) .....

but TuTu Atwell surely is NOT a punt returner!!
BUT...Maybe he'll be great as a WR or slot....hey, was Isaac Bruce a punt returner??? I don't think so.....
so a Doris Day sang: que sera, sera....what will be, will be.

Point is...speed ain't everything.....even World Record Speed.... 40 years ago. :idea2:

40-yard dash times for :

Cooper Kupp 4.62
Davante Adams 4.56
DeAndre Hopkins 4.57

So yeah, 40-yard dash speed doesn't correlate with NFL stardom at WR. However, to be fair to Tutu, he wasn't no Nehemiah - he played for a legit college team and had a great college career. So I'm rootin' for him to succeed. Jacob Harris also.

It's spelled Wonderlic.

I don't care about his Wonderlic score as much as I do the fact that he suffered a season ending injury by losing a one on one battle with the ball.

It matters not how fast he is if he can't last past the preseason.
