I continue to come back to my battle over the past year with those posters on RamsTalk who day after day, week after week, and month after month were dead set certain that the lease on the dome would have no weight at all on the final relocation decision. It would all be about Peacock, NFL doesn't turn down public money, leverage from Stan, FAA issues, Iger, Policy, yada, yada, yada.

Some of us knew what really mattered to the league and the satisfaction of being correct will stay with me for a while.

It's funny how they thought Dave Peacock and Bob Iger were going to somehow keep Stan Kroenke out of L.A.

Guys like Peacock and Iger work for people like Kroenke, not the other way around.

I wouldn't put it that way and doubt that's how it went down.

I think Allen merely observed what was going on and saw a guy trying to leech off the league for more $$... and a guy who was willing to add value to the product.

As a business decision... no brainer. Allen's a smart guy.

To follow up another post... yeah.. the denial that other owners would validate Stan's claim that the lease wasn't lived up to was just crazy. They thought the NFL was going to let a city just walk away from a deal. No effing way.

Kroenke is quoted quite a few times since the vote talking about how he worked with Allen on the project from its early stages. And that Allen hadn't been to an owners meeting in four years and since Allen finally showed up at a meeting and was supporting Stan that was a huge swing of support for Inglewood.

If using a PC, put the bmp or jpg in paint and resize it to 50% or what ever makes it work.

Why would Davis and or Spanos vote yes? I guess they saw the writing on the wall and if they wanted to get to LA that would be the only way but still...
