I've learned never to believe the Chargers are going to do anything until they actually do it.

Though being in L.A with the Rams while the Raiders move to SD is bad for the Chargers, being in SD with the Rams and Raiders in L.A. might be worse, or at least Spanos might think it's worse...

Spanos doesn't want the Raiders in LA in that beautiful venue and them stuck in SD still unsure if they could get a new stadium built.

The Rams and Raiders in LA would suck the life out of any SD team, even the Chargers, especially grappling for new digs.

Spanos is banking on the Rams continuing to be a bad team on the field under Kroenke. And that's not a bad bet, IMO. I'm not convinced Kroenke knows how to put a winning football team on the field or even cares enough about that. I was waiting to hear Kroenke say he was going to bring a championship to LA with the Rams, but he never did. That's not lost on Spanos or the NFL. And I think Spanos believes his best shot now after losing the big game off the field is to beat Kroenke on the field.

IMO, we are lucky that the Chargers are moving in cause if they didn't the Raiders would next year for sure. And if the Raiders won in LA they would steal Kroenke's lunch.

Personally, this is the way I prefer it. Time for Kroenke to show that he can put a winner on the field. If he can't, then I say, let him embarrass himself cause he would deserve it.

There will be plenty of Chargers fans that stick with them. But some, who hate Spanos, may switch.
And, remember... Bolts won't be on tv in SD nearly as much.

Yes - I asked the question on a Chargers forum and the response was the hatred for Spanos is deep and they might be happy to have the Raiders.

I was asking whether a public vote to fund a stadium for the Raiders has a chance to pass and they seemed to think it might because of the current Spanos hate.

I think the difference is they are pretty mad at Spanos. I think if the Hawks or Niners for some reason moved to St. Louis right now, the St.Louis fans would support them.
