warner is an admitted cardinal, he refers to "we" (the cardinals) whenever the rams and cards play and he's asked to comment, kind of reminds me of the gabriel sitch, a lot less venom tho, gabe disowned the rams when he was sent to philly, said he would always consider himself an eagle... anyway, i have no prob with warner, hope he eventually embraces the rams, and i hope the rams give him every chance to do so, but my guess is things won't change much in terms of how he feels about the cards, or his allegiance to the cards...

Kurt retired a Cardinal and more than once pointed to them "wanting" him. I don't think he's been unfair toward the Rams or vindictive but I don't think he feels like, ultimately, they did him right.

He still lives in Arizona and that's his home. Perfectly understandable for him to feel more of a connection there. But he hasn't divorced himself from the Rams by any means. Why fans get so annoyed with him is hard to understand. Without his time as a Cardinal, his career would be FAR different than it is and he wouldn't be a HOF candidate. Cut the guy some slack.

They unceremoniously benched him with a supposed concussion, never let him try and get his job back, bad-mouthed him in the media, questioned his work ethic and suggested that his religious beliefs were getting in the way and then spread the word that he was damaged goods after they finally released him.

They crapped all over him and Martz has even admitted that he handled the situation poorly. But Warner hasn't ever bad-mouthed the Rams, he's just said that at this point of his life, he associates with the Cardinals more. Not exclusively, just "more". Because of that, some Rams fans are angry with him.
