Very compelling. Trying to keep my options open.

I like the idea of Hadl since you started in '73. Plus, not too many people sportin' his #21.

Another idea is John Cappiletti #22. He started in '74 though so it's not quite perfect.

Cullen Bryant #32 was a rookie in '73 though. That'd be another good one.

I like the way you are thinking.

And for the record, I grew up in Bake where I became a young Rams fan. Still miss Pizzaville and Las Colonias, amongst many others like Happy Jacks. :)

There's still one Pizzaville left(Oak St.) and Happy Jack's is still there too. Not sure about Las Colonias, where was it?

My Pizzaville was on N. Chester since I grew up in the 'Dale. Thankfully closer to the SW now.

Grew up in the sw so the Pizzaville I went to was the one on Oak. It may be Los Colonia and it was kind of in the se of bake and bar none the best Mexican food in the area. Maybe the planet. :) At least it was 25 years ago but hear it is still around. Get a lot of crap being from Bakersfield but loved growing up there. So close to everything.

Speaking of pizza places did you ever go to Lamp Post pizza? The one on the east side on Auburn/Oswell was a big time Rams bar back during the GSOT.

My next jersey will likely be a Jack Youngblood one.

If I had to pick just one, I really don't know what I'd choose. Probably Merlin Olsen, as that was my number in High School and because Merlin was such a class act.

I do remember lamp post pizza. I moved from Bakersfield in 91 but would loved to have been a part of your crowd during those times.

May need to make a trip back. I have a feeling Lamp Post might be getting busy again. ;)
