Thanks for hanging in max. bummer you had to miss yesterday.

Vinny's sources seem like they weren't there yesterday either. His article flies in the face of everything else we have heard.

Vinny did go on Roggin and say Rams/chargers most likely, now he's waving Carson fairy tales again.

The narrative is clear:

Kroenke has the strongest plan, the best legal case, and the NFL is on his side.

Spanos has more political clout among the owners.

The outcome is unclear.

Is the narrative right? Pretty much every reporter covering this is reporting the same thing, so i'm inclined to think it probably is right.

We're gonna find out soon...

Anything that's being reported is not coming from here.

Those guys are sitting in a bar or Starbucks and writing based on yesterday.

I guess you can't figure out where they are from Fenno's view that he tweeted...

Sorry to hear that. I would have thought there would still be some news trickling out from there, and that some reporters would still be hanging around.

Read it carefully and it says Rams in LA all over the place. There is much more likely a break from Spanos than Stan. There is no real justification to vote against Stan. That is the rub.

With that said the NFL needs, I will say again, the NFL NEEDS, a unanimous vote. And therefore the only solution is the Rams/Chargers in Inglewood, and the Raiders with assurances in Oakland. It also allows the Chargers a chance to stay in San Diego. And all will be fine with that solution.

I know what I am talking about. I have never been wrong. :)

Lordy what a long week this is going to be.

Or no vote at all, which is what I believe will occur.

The owners will just defer to Goodell, and we already know he is going with Stan's plan.

Its about money. Stadium viability is required.

There seems enough validity to the report that St Louis is not a viable stadium proposal. Because from the beginning, it is not. Then to flip and say Carson is a viable option, reeks of hypocrisy. Davis can't afford the billion to relocate and share in a billion dollar stadium. Spanos can't afford to relocate and share in the costs of a billion dollar stadium. There is only the promise of Sachs financing a proposed stadium with out an ounce of pre-build approvals being applied or approved.

Of course anything can happen. But it would be a pure gamble on the NFL's part to let the Inglewood project go away. Its the only truly viable option. If Spanos does not want to play ball with Kroenke, as is the case with the city of San Diego, then let him go at it again, and again, and again, and again.

I think the NFL's request for a Stadium Guaranteed Opening Date is a way to smoke-out the Carson project.

So, Spanos has only 2-options left, move-in with Stan or stay in San Diego and continue to try to get a stadium built there. I say the NFL gives him approval to move-in with Stan, but also the time to try to work out a deal with SD over the next two years.

Totally agree. It makes too much sense.

Vinny is nowhere in sight around Park Avenue. Fenno and probably Farmer are hanging around Times Square which is on the other side of town.

I have no idea where Acee is, he said he was walking around Manhattan, but I haven't seen him on the East Side which is where NFL is.

Maybe they are texting with their "sources" in the building. But if I was from LA and I had travelled 3000 miles to NY I would meet with my sources somehow.

My guess is that there are support staff in the building who overheard stuff last night who could tell us a lot if we only knew them. There are a lot of people who come out of the building to grab a smoke, and I spoke to one women who was friendly but didn't know anything. Wish I was a smoker, that might have helped.

It just doesn't make sense that they would stay late last night and not come back today if they had no idea how they were going to resolve this thing, and yet knew they needed to resolve it in 6 days. No business does that.
