POST #13 Its hard for me to believe that Carson site is still being considered. If they award the Charaiders Carson, be prepared for a major fiasco. I will be at the site watching their every move. I already have a good repoir with the gate guards and one of the EPA inspectors, so I should have a few inside sources if they approve the Carson site.I still don't believe Carson gets the nod. Just too many open ends and lots of uncedrtainty. No one has any clue about when they can start. So far as I know, Carson is waiting until the site is approved before they try and sell the bonds (50 million worth, which isn't going to be enough) to do the remediation, and how long will that take? One more month before we know. by bluecoconuts 9 years 6 months ago Total posts: 273 Joined: Aug 29 2015 LA Coliseum Rookie Re: What's the likelihood Rams are in LA next year? It's obvious that Spanos has some very influential friends in the NFL, and they're working hard to get him into Carson. Is it the smarter deal? Not a chance, but like I said before, the NFL is big enough to be dumb enough to think that it doesn't matter. by den-the-coach 9 years 6 months ago Total posts: 870 Joined: May 22 2015 Fifty-four Forty or Fight Veteran Re: What's the likelihood Rams are in LA next year? POST #17 I dunno. Maybe I'm looking at things in a different way. I see the owners as businessmen. The more teams that make money, the more money they all get. The Bay Area has triple the population of the STL metro area and the median income is around $20K more than the STL area. I know they have to share with another team in that market, but there's still plenty enough to support the team better than STL could. San Diego is closer to STL, but they still have probably a few hundred thousand more people and their median income is a little under $10 more than STL. Still a better market. So why would the owners abandon those markets in order to keep the lowest valued market? It doesn't make business sense. I know its the NFL and they do what they want. And they want to be loyal to Spanos who's been around much longer than Kroenke. But again, they will make much less money in STL than the other markets. by BuiltRamTough 9 years 6 months ago Total posts: 5357 Joined: May 15 2015 Los Angeles Hall of Fame Re: What's the likelihood Rams are in LA next year?
