I guess what confuses me the most, is that if it's so darned obvious that the proposal is flawed, how can it be seriously passed?
The St Louis contingent seems to keep making shit up, then when caught they come up with something else.

What's they're passing today is essentially 70 million of city contribution. The other 75-100 million they have no clue where it's coming from. They'll literally figure that out later. The state's 150 million dollar share? Not guaranteed per Schaaf and the state will sue.

Plan is rock solid, can't you see?

It seems to me that the BoA is banking on the stadium never happening, so there is no downside to them voting yes.

It reminds me of my fathers bakery in New York back in the 60's. A woman came in and asked how much the canolis cost. My dad said they are 75 cents each. And the woman said the bakery on the other side of town only charged 50 cents each. So my dad asked her why she didn't buy them there. And she said because they are all out. Then my dad said, oh, when we are all out, they only cost 25 cents.

The voting has begun in StL.

Only 21 Aldermen in attendance . 6 or 7 less that before. Green, Tyus, and Ogilvie expected to take the floor in opposition.

Well the BofA will pass it because they're probably never gonna have to come up with the money, but if a stadium ever did get built (with mostly non-city money) that would be jobs for their constituents and French got his comprehensive anti-violence plan. It's a pretty easy, no consequences, yes vote for the aldermen.

The Spanos camp will claim this is good enough to vote no on Rams relocation.

So what's next?

Good, hope they pass the garbage plan that is a failure at all levels and has a 100 million dollar shortfall. Their final bullet shot. Then the state can get on with their lawsuits and we won't have to hear about them adjusting "the plan" every 5 minutes.

Goodbye, Peacock. Your time is up.

Hekklers being removed from the room. People in the gallery singing Christmas songs to drown out Aldermen from stating the opinions out load. Not sure if the are pro stadium or pro vote. The proceedings are being disrupted. what a chit chow.

Since the alderman are expected to pass the bill, I'm sure they're pro vote people.

That is why it would be better if it failed.

440 changes were made to the bill since the last meeting. Aldermman Olgavie asking to postpone until next Tuesday to be able to see what all the changes mean.
They feel the team's lease terms are to team friendly and will not debt service maintenance over the long haul. $500MM short. Currently $1.5M and need more like $8M. Even Peacock said it would take at leas $4M annual.

So what I am seeing is that the task force is having to whip this stew into shape with out all of the ingredients. Then the ingredients are not the correct proportions and no one is sure if they even have the right ingredients to start with. That ought to taste real good.
