Ain't that the disgusting truth....

Yeah, I tend to think positively about the Fisher tenure, team has been relevant, fights hard etc. Dont have animosity like I do towards Spags/Linehan. However with a few games to go, these last 5 will define him IMO.

I dont see a scenario where he stays becasue in all likliehood we lose 2-3 more game and the record is abysmal. However if we were to completely crap out and finish behind/tied with San Fran? That would be unforgivable...

I find Fisher to be more frustrating. Spags and Linehan just seemed incompetant - they seemed over their head and the players didn't respect them. With Fisher, it's one thing - OFFENSE. If he would simply come to terms with the fact that he can't consistently win with an offense meant for the 1970's he could be successful. But he is either too stubborn or too stupid to deal with it. And it has sunk him.

I agree completely. It's like we ALL can see it, all Jeff has to do is get a competent OC and we're over the top. But he refuses, year after year.

It's like we're watching a horror film, and everyone in the audience is screaming at the girl to just turn around and shoot the monster before he get her, but the girl never hears us and the monster gets to her first :)

I have a suspicion that once relo is over and we are in LA, things will change. He'll bring in an OC.
If he is staying in StL and isn't happy about it, he may run the course with Fish as a big F you to the StLoo and the NFL for denying him.

Who is "he'll" here? Are you saying ESK will force the issue, or somehow Fisher will come to some revelation after 20yrs of this?

Yes, Fish under orders. He just needs to relinquish total control over that side of the ball. That way the good parts stay intact.

Could be wishful thinking but I don't think things will stay the same. Heimerdinger was his most successful OC and under him they put up some decent numbers and win /loss records. I really doubt he is disinterested in scoring points, just relinquishing control.

Perhaps the LA Rams will be more attractive to the Jackson's and Gase's of the league.

I dont believe that a HC at the NFL level knows how to do anything other than trying the very best to win at all costs.
I think Fisher has done the best he can do, which sadly isnt good enough. But to think that he gave less than his best because the team was moving? I just dont see it

I don't know the answer, but am hopeful that this is the case. Otherwise we are in for another shake up.
It goes to the argument of tanking to keep the fans away to support relo. He might be doing the best he can with what he gave himself.
For example, no one thought that trotting out a rookie Oline was a good plan from day one. That may or may not have been by mistake.
