those at the compost have said it makes no sense for stan to spend 2 billion on a stadium when the value of the rams would only increase to the same amount. but all this talk about naming rights got me to thinking, if farmers field naming rights was at 700 mil then stan will probably get at least that. then you add psl money(carson estimate was about 400 mil for 1 team i think) of around 500 mil and your at 1.2 bil and the difference stan splits with stockbridge then it should cost stan about 300 mil to double his teams value. does this make sense?

The Carson model is to fund the stadium with PSL and naming rights money. That's how their doing it in Santa Clara.

So yeah, in a lot of ways, the Inglewood stadium will pay for itself whereas in St. Louis Kroenke is being asked to pay for part of a stadium he won't own. That's what doesn't add up...

Kroenke is also going to apparently go for the G4 loan as well, so there wont be as much spent initially.

It's not just the value of the team, Kroenke is going to make a butt load of money renting out the facility for various other things, as well as money from the Championship Park in general. Money he wouldn't even begin to sniff in St Louis, even if he did own everything there, which he wont. The ROI in Inglewood justifies the cost and then some (since Kroenke is apparently willing to spend hundreds of millions more to get it done) where the ROI in St Louis really doesn't look that good at all, even if Kroenke was paying a lot less. It's good PR to move numbers around as the Task Force did, but Kroenke and the NFL aren't stupid, they see through that.

Between naming rights and PSL the stadium will be at least half paid for. Events outside the NFL in the first 3 years should pay for the majority of the rest. Add to that the prestige of having NFL west HQ and NFL Network studios and the draw to this area will be insane.

The guys in StL mention that they were not intending to compete with LA as that is impossible. they were going to cut a StL sized slice. Problem is, they are competing with LA in many ways.
