I'm with you. I guess he needs to go Leo Farnsworth and suit up to prove he wants to win?
Well, he does look a lot like Uncle Rico...and he could throw it over a mountain!

I could absolutely believe the story that the St. Louis fans perpetuated that it was a leverage play to get a better deal in the STL. But I preferred to think his mind was on L.A. After he bought Hollywood Park, I was convinced that he wanted nothing more to do with STL, other than leave it. There was never a "Plan B".
I think this is all long after the fact, though. Between 2010 when he took over and 2012 when he placed a bid on the Dodgers, something soured him on St. Louis.

Kroenke doesn't have to decide whether or not to bring Fisher back. That's what he pays Kevin Demoff to do. Demoff, ultimately will either retain or lose his job based on the consequences of his decision. That's why he gets paid the big bucks.

If Demoff botches this in LA, I don't see Stan standing silent.

I don't think Stan "soured" on St. Louis. He had an asset that could be moved and if he moved it the value would double or triple. Plain and simple math.

I agree with this.

If Stan hired someone to run one of his development projects and gave them full reign and they failed - he will eventually notice and make a change. This is one of his projects.

Who knows, maybe Demoff is on the hot seat as well.

I think Stan soured on StL with the London game cancellations. He obviously loves them.

I don't see Demoff doing much to rectify the situation. He's in Fisher's pocket. Demoff's father-in-law is Fisher's agent. Until Kroenke rebuilds the entire organization, from Demoff down to Fisher, the rams will remain non competitive in my opinion. Demoff and Snead have shown they are not competent at what they do(i.e. tavon's contract extension, greg robinson, nick foles, the host of hilarious failures with their draft picks). And a coach still stuck in the late 90's. The team needs to be gutted from the top to bottom. The coach hired the GM? The executive vice president's father in law is the coach's agent. A coach who's on the verge of having the all time record for losses. Only in L.A.... feels like I'm watching a bad reality tv show. or better yet, The Walking Dead. If only we could get Negan to put Fisher out of his misery!

lol. Reality TV for sure.
Still the team is bigger than the sports agents. If Demoff's father-in-law hitched his wagon to an unsuccessful coach, he should be happy it lasted for as long as it has. His daughters husband might want to keep the agents daughter happy but not at the expense of risking his own job and the success of his team. Fisher's clout will still be at the forefront.

Interesting point. London games I believe other than one have sold out for the last 10 years. It is also bigger than a number of stadiums here in the US. As well as ticket prices are higher there.

If memory serves me correct teams make 2 to 3 million dollars there more from gate receipts. As well as here in the US the split for home teams and visitors is a 60/40 for gate receipts. Which I don't recall off hand but the split for the home team is like 70 and the visitor 30 for a London game just for gate receipts and heck a sold to capacity game I am sure brings in some nice concession sales as well.

I believe Stan wants the Rams to be a "global" team. He does have a billionaire ego, even if he's quieter about it.

And no matter what we all know now from experiencing Fisher - when Kroenke first hired him, he was the best option available and he spent his $$ to get the best. With all the Demoff nepotism, moving, Fisher smooth talking etc....I still fully believe that Kroenke wants a winning team for his palace in LA. He thought that is what he was funding. Just didn't work out that way.

Now it's a pain in the ass for him. Plus, I also like to think that JJ gets in a few jabs about how great the Cowboys are and a few crude jokes at Kroenke's expense about our Rams.

We might be getting an entire sweep from Demoff on down. If not for 2017, certainly by 2018 if he holds this crew and next year isn't better.
