Sadly, the Rams played so bad that the team never found a good time to announce it. Same goes for Snead. It's highly unlikely that silent Stan just eats what potentially is 28-35 million dollar deal and turn around and pay another coach at the same time. Stan Kroenke is the worst type of owner in sports. He only views the teams success by the bottom line.... dollars and cents, not winning or championships. The organization was waiting for the "right" time to announce it. As far as I'm concerned, Fisher shouldn't be allowed to coach flag football, let alone an NFL team. But my point is Kroenke doesn't care about winning, so Fisher still remains 'the ole ball coach'. He's not going to get rid of him until it affects his bottom line. $$$$$ ....SMH.I can see how you can see this scenario. That would have been foolish but it does explain Fisher attitude and defiant behavior about Goff. The only thing I really don't like about Fisher is his offensive philosophy. The only time he every was over 500% was when Mike Heimerdinger was his OC. (Perhaps we should sign him? lol). Steckel also won for him in '99.It seems he has only had (what we would consider) success with one guy. What if he can find the right guy again? Keep his promise that if retained he would hire the experienced OC and give him control. I could live with that. However the "if" in that statement tells me he's not sure he will be retained. Or was that just a smoke screen? His body of work could be worse. Either way welcome to the board. GO RAMS !!! GO DODGERS !!! If Kroenke is only concerned with bottom line, then why is fisher so highly paid? Why not hire somebody for cheap who can lose games just as easily? 1 by HAL 9000 8 years 7 months ago Total posts: 1009 Joined: Jan 20 2016 Jupiter Pro Bowl What are the odds Fisher is back next year?
