Unless they've conceded and they think bad mouthing him while he's on the way out will make everyone feel better. One man's trash is another's treasure. St. louis hates the guy. LA loves him. No offense st. louis, but I'd rather have LA loving me than you.

Yea it just it is more evidence the big 3 (Nixon and task force) know they (the Rams) are gone. If there was a real possibility the Rams were gonna stay Peacock would have already privately visited the local talking heads of the media there and asked them to keep any antagonistic comments out of print and out of ear shot. However since I believe they know deep down all they are doing now is for a future team down the road it don't matter what the local media says. Allowing the local media to carry on also serves as plausible deniability for men such Nixon, Peacock and Blitz they let others say how they feel so they can always appear above it all or even later on say well I never said anything like that so they always have that ability to deny. So much of the behavior of the big 3 really points to they know this is a done deal save a miracle a hail Mary td pass to help their cause. So they can allow the local press to be vocal for them and have deniability down the road or even deniability for the next task force depending on how long it takes for the NFL to do a expansion or another owner looking to move.

Right on Legends. These public comments are venting and possibly their wave of a flag to get the leagues ear. What may be disseminated though is plain nastiness. It could also be a smack at ESK trying to hurt his standing and more directly his wallet. Piss in the wind Bucker.

Dierdorf was working within the sports authority in some capacity wasn't he? He has nerve acting this way when he could have a small role in how things getting this far. Glass houses.

What I have found eye opening about it all is the sense of like blood is thicker than water a lot of the folks in MO feel about their state and being from there. Most of my life I have spent in the service so I never have developed a attitude or feeling like that, were I am from usually is were I am living at the moment. However a lot of this anger reads to me like they are saying ya are from Mo like us and ya are a state traitor. So I have no clue if the bloodlines or state lines run so deep in the rest of the US, but I can clearly see they do in MO.

There is a little bit of a complex going on too or an overly exaggerated sense of self. Once pitted against Los Angeles, the size of their what ever came into question. Now they have reduced themselves to taking cheap shots and girly slaps which shows them in bad light.
I know Missourians are home grown, down to earth good people. My mom and her family is all from there or still are. Good folks most of them. When I've been there I've been treated bro by strangers. But they have a lot of pride and they feel they are getting punked by the bully on the west coast.
All that said, remember back to the old days on the official site and how many of those proud StL'ers treated us LA guys back then,, or better yet go read the StL PD and you may find your compassionate side extremely challenged.

Yea I have thought there is some true animosity. For one every time I turn around the local media is always using the straw man argument.....of StL is not just a baseball town. Which I have felt was a silly argument as it seemed to me since in the very bylaws the NFL goes against their previous statement of such. An all we have seen kinda destroys that notion yet they keep it alive and at the forefront of the media on a regular basis. They are fighting a enemy that is not there.

Or at least that was my opinion until this past week when I read some of the polls ya posted in RRF about the Cards, Rams, and Blues.

Now I am of the opinion ya doth protest to much. On a constant basis the local media does a piece on how we are not a baseball town and if the Rams were winning the would get the same support. I am a football fan first and foremost. Which means I can watch football be it the Cowboys playing the Raiders or the Seahawks playing the Patriots. Teams I all hate and despise, but as a football fan I will watch these games because well it is football.

I like the baseball Cards and they are my fav so I will watch them when they are on but I will not watch baseball if they are not playing. After reading the poll that was posted I am beginning to wonder if just the such is the case for StL. Baseball fans first but will watch the local football or hockey team and their support will depend solely upon the product on the field. Which like I said they throughout have been protesting way to much about whether they are a baseball town first or not.

I have never read the PD so I will go and try to just read and not sign up and give my opinion.....LOL There is some true bad feelings from fans in the cities for sure. Before I asked Cumby to ban me from ROD. I thought that site really showed how around some of the local Ram fans ya had to walk on egg shells, a case of you can't handle the truth in the way they had the debate structured. I have never lost a home town team for one I have never lived in a area that had one. However my love for my teams has always been about the team their surname.....the Rams and never about their first name LA or StL. So I am nowhere qualified to give a opinion or say I know how both cities must feel in that regard, but I do so agree with ya there is some true animosity from StL towards LA.
