for a 68.1 qb rating... he was also just 2 of 5 for 10 yards in the redzone..

Just lose in Detroit next week and that ought to do it for Keenum. If the DL isn't healthy next week and TruJ is out as well, the offense is gonna need to score more than 20 points. Keenum can't do that consistently.

no he can't, case has led the offense to more than 19 points just twice in 10 starts, so very grim...

I am not a Keenum apologist but that pick six could have happened to any qb. Okay he is physically limited.
I take issue with the constant red zone failures ( I blame play calling first). Why in the world would you not go for the Td on 4th down when you will need a Td to win even with the field goal. Jeesh the Rams were within 6-7 yards of tying and Fish goes for three. Then he goes for it on 4th with a fake! :?
We all know that Case is limited but this loss falls on Fish and the coaches especially the offensive staff.
I hope someone starts a 7-9BS hashtag.

This was a very winnable game. Very poor coaching decisions and clutch play. Our lack of red zone offence is why we traded for the number one pick was it not?

And wasn't it against the same team, the Bucs?

Case is a 2 TD QB as I've been saying. Thats his limit.

First, the fake was an idiotic call, the defense had just produced a three and out, give them a chance.

Second, you can't call plays in the Redzone that you know your QB can't execute. The defense has less space to cover and throws you can make at midfield cannot be made in the Redzone unless you have a QB who can put some zip on the ball to fit it into tighter windows.

As many have stated, with this offense our defense and special teams have to play perfect for us to have a chance to win. The experiment has gone on long enough. I know Keenum's numbers were decent. I know he made some nice plays. But when there are guys open beyond the first down marker, they've got to get the ball. And when a guy is covered like a blanket going into the flat, you can't throw the ball behind him. He makes plays, yes, but he doesn't have the arm when it's needed. Fisher won't yank him but I gotta hope his leash got a lot shorter today.
