Kroenke's purchase of the team would appear to make the Rams less likely to move.

Like I said, I'm pretty impartial to the LA vs St Louis deal, I've never been to a home game in either city. And over the years an article would pop up about a potential move back to LA, (even before the lease issue), and it would get met with staunch criticism. Despite that, it opened my impartial eye to the possibilty that it could happen. I see the same potential with Khan. Right now, everything looks fine in Jacksonville, because there's another team calling St Louis home. But when the suggestions are made that the Jags could move, it opens my eyes just like it did way back with LA

True enough but I think if they would listened to what else he said they would have jumped on a stadium immediately as he also said in the same interview.

"I don't think it's a mystery the way we're running our other clubs. Connect the dots," "Now, the realistic part of that. I live to be competitive. To be competitive, you have to have revenue. We're going to work really hard to have a model that produces revenue where we can be consistently competitive. Anyone can be a contender in the pro sports business every so often. The real challenge is to be competitive every year."

I would think for a man who don't speak often when he does they might wanna listen. He clearly let them know look at the model I use with my other teams and mentioned revenue. If they would have looked like he said and indeed listened they would not be working on having a task force build a stadium for perhaps some future team. No instead the news out of StL would be about Kroenke gonna break ground on his own stadium perhaps along the waterfront.

I truly believe(d) at that point Stan had no intention of being anywhere but St louis. Just like right now it appears Khan is lock stock and barrel in Jacksonville.

I do agree he was willing stay there at one point and I think he was willing to see what the city would do. I however think in the back of his mind he had some inclining he might have to look elsewhere. He is and has been on at least 3 organizations that I am aware of that are involved with civic and economic affairs in StL. He was the minority owner since they moved there so he was aware when the city had to get a waiver the first time around when they could not meet improvements under the lease. So he is and has been tapped into StL and knew the way they operated before he bought majority.

So I don't think he bought the team with the intention to move, but I do believe he bought the majority stake with the notion of if he had to he sure as heck would move. I also believe he made the statement's he did to assure them his first intention was to remain there, he also said the other he did so he could caveat that could be subject to change. I also think he threw them a bone and said simply hey I am not that mysteriously just simply look at what I have already done and will give ya a idea of what I am interested in. However like Molker said seemed ambiguous to him and in fact even now his (Stan's) actions seem ambiguous to some in StL is why they can write articles we need ya to comment and while others still think this is a leverage play. I have yet to read where Stan has ever used one piece of land as a leverage play so maybe he has but I have never read about it and he clearly feels he is a creature of enough habit to state hey look what I already do and connect the dots. So I can agree I don't think his first intention was to buy solely for moving but I don't think he ever feared to make that decision if it came to it. Which we can see evidenced today.

So yea I do agree with ya bro and in my opinion the city sure loves to quote how he said I don't plan to lead a charge out of here, but sure missed his caveat when he said things can change just as ya have clearly pointed out. So I have no clue how Khan feels or what he might have going on in his mind. I only following this move since it has to do with our Rams. However I can so agree with ya what is firm today could be a vapor tomorrow.

Interesting spin. Kroenke jumping the task force. They make it sound as if StL was driving the car. That's different. But they forgot to mention the part about the detail and preparation head start Inglewood clearly had. Being further along. And the city of champions project has no considerable remediation (toxic) or legal entanglements to deal with.
Interesting to see how many bright people are of a polar opposite opinion/perception. Or at least talk that way.
