Where he excels Allar experienced a leap in his development in 2024, increasing his completion percentage from 59.9% in 2023 to 66.5%. The big, prototypical pocket passer excelled under first-year offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki, throwing for 3,327 yards and 24 touchdowns with eight interceptions. His upper-tier arm strength gives him the confidence to test challenging throwing windows in intermediate areas. He also has enough mobility for his size to escape defenders in the pocket.

Where he needs work: While Allar's completion percentage made a major leap, his ball placement was still inconsistent. He too often puts the ball on the wrong shoulder and his throws can be too high or too low on what should be easy completions. His performance against top-ranked teams has also been woefully inconsistent. Scouts will be watching him closely against Oregon (Sept. 27) and Ohio State (Nov. 1). Penn State is the top-ranked team in ESPN's post-spring Way-Too-Early Top 25, but it will need Allar to play better in showcase games to live up to that billing.

As a Penn St. fans, I'd say woefully inconsistent is too forgiving. IMO, he's been consistently bad vs top ranked teams. But he can improve.

I like Beck too and if Manning stays in school, either of those two would be a good choice.

Jaxson Dart was in the booth during last night's Yankees/RedSox broadcast. Kay, O'Neill and Cone were peppering him with questions and when it comes to "can he play in NY or not", I believe the kid is going to be a stud for the Giants. They got him with the #25 pick, so I think between the Rams first rounder and Atlanta's, they will be able to get one of the top 2 QB prospects.

I say do it this way. Tom Brady has a daughter and Dan Marino has a son. They meet and procreate, and have a boy. When he's 21 they beam him back in time to play college ball in 2025, making him eligible for the 2026 draft. Meanwhile Atlanta loses every game so Rams pick first.

That's how I would do it.

Of course, my scenario is not realistic because it doesn't account for possible injuries.

I dunno. With what Sean did with Mayfield, and seeing how many recent QB's that got labeled as "busts" are now starting in the league, I'd like to see us pick up Sam Howell (very similar to Mayfield and did lead the NFL in passing yards til mid season in his rookie year with the Commanders; now a back up for the Vikings) next year and see what we could do with him. IF the Vike's rookie QB comes thru for them we could probably get him on the cheap. The guy is tough; very strong arm and was behind a bad Oline--did get sacked alot and too many turnovers---but he's big and tough like Stafford. I think Matthew has 2-3 good years left in him. Spend our two first rounders on an elite LT and corner prospects.

UCLA QB / this guy is a stud and will be our pick. This guy can spin it. Looks like Mahomes to me. Love his size.

Able to be mobile. L.A..Guy local Long Beach. We’ll be able to see him up close.

Glad we made that falcons trade still got Ferguson and we set ourselves up with a franchise Quarterback.

This guy fits the bill. Perfect for him to learn under Stafford for 2 years.
