Rams New Beat Writer is an Old Friend
With the departure of Jourdan Rodrigue, the Rams will have a familiar face covering the team this coming season. Bernie Miklasz, formerly a Rams beat writer in St. Louis, will step in and take over Rodrigue's role. "I'm really hungry for this assignment," Miklasz said, as he arrived at Rams Park on his first day. Mike Martz could not be reached for comment.

This isn't funny.

Man, I haven’t thought of that dude in a long time.

He is probably still working on his bench press. :D

Oh, come on... it's kinda funny! :twisted2:

I have to say, that Sue Donim is really making a name for herself.

If it had been Jim Thomas, sure. That would have been funny. Or some of those other guys from the PD (whose names I can no longer pull from the top of my head). Anybody but Bernie.

Bernie is a bridge too far for me.

This report throws up more red flags than a Jeff Fisher challenge.

Let’s be honest — “Susan Donim” writing for the Los Angeles Metro-Examiner is giving off strong burner account energy, like someone just couldn’t let the 7–9 era go quietly into the night.

Bernie Miklasz returning to cover the Rams from “Rams Park” in 2025? That’s like asking Mike Martz to diagram an RPO. We’re deep into the multiverse at that point.

Yes it IS funny! … I'd rather read this than another offseason puff piece about “QB competition heating up” when we all know Stetson's clipboard is laminated.

If this beat writer switch is real, then I’m Sean Mannion’s playoff highlight coordinator.

Jourdan still on the beat? From today's piece on possible breakout players:

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/648877 ... 25-season/

Los Angeles Rams
TE Terrance Ferguson
To be clear, Rams coach Sean McVay finally has to commit to a significant increase in 12 personnel for Ferguson, a rookie second-round pick, to truly emerge this season. But the offense has trended that way at times, especially last season. While McVay’s scheme was still largely run through 11 personnel (82 percent of the Rams’ offensive plays in 2024), he also deployed 12 personnel on 15.5 percent of offensive plays and hit that average or higher between Weeks 15 and 18. The Rams ran 12 personnel on an average of just 5 percent of offensive plays in 2023. Veteran tight end Tyler Higbee’s return from injury across that period gave McVay two healthy starting-caliber tight ends. He has reiterated his hope for his offense to be more multiple in 2025. — Jourdan Rodrigue
