I dunno about putting a QB on our practice squad that knows our O inside/out. Wouldn't a team want to pick up a guy like that before we play them? I do know that when a team does poach a PS player, they have to put him in their 53 man roster. I don't know how long they have to keep him on that roster. Does anyone else?

I believe the answer to that is 3 weeks.

If Bennett were on the PS and another team tried to sign him, Rams would have the option to put him on the their 53 and keep him.

Unless the rule changed, the emergency 3rd QB has to be on the 53 man roster in case the Rams care about that.

It seems like pro bowls, or lack there of, are important enough to keep Stafford out of the HOF? Pro bowls are a popularity award in many cases. Let's examine the other NFC QBs playing during his time in Detroit. Rodgers. Brees. Eli. Wilson. Ryan. Newton. Romo. Vick. Cousins. Prescott. And even Goff. Some pretty popular QBs, no? Eli is the only one (of 4) with more than 1 Superbowl win.

He had a losing record in Detroit? Shocking! How many Lions QBs have had winning records during their time there? What is his record with a quality organization? Two triple crown receivers? How many have there been all time?

Barring injury, after this season, Matthew should be about # 7 all-time in yards; about 8 in TD's and the same for completions. Plus his one SB win, I think he will be a first ballot guy.
