Naturally, there's camp and cutdowns, then the practice squad. But looking at what they have to choose from, this is still a very young defense. They could get a little younger at the CB position, when it comes to starters but, who knows.

OLB Young (27), Verse (25)....Jackson (25), Stewart (22), Hampton (25), Thomas (27)
DT Turner (26), Poona (30)....Fiske (25), Davis (25), Hamilton (23), Murchison (28)
ILB Landman (27), Speights (24).....Paul (23), Dolac (23)
CB Williams (32), Witherspoon (30), Durant (27)......Forbes (24), Wallace (25), Kendricks (25)
S Lake (26), Curl (26)....... Kinchens (23),McCollough (25), Ingle (26)

On top of all those guys 25 or younger (15), there are four guys 26 and four more 27. And I haven't even included others in camp/on the roster.
This D could be special for a few years.

Rams have a habit of drafting older rookies which i guess helps them hit the ground running a little faster but also probably limits the upside a little too.

Then again, with NIL, rookies in general are getting older...

Obviously this bodes well for our very young D. I think we are already starting to plan ahead as we won't be able to pay all of these guys IF their contracts come up in a bunch. I think Stewart was drafted to earn his strips and replace Young next year. We'll get a nice comp pick for him. Young will make some serious money on the market, but I don't view him as near elite like I do Cobie; Verse and Fiske.
Shit, when Cobie, Verse and Fiske each start getting ten + sacks a year.....(Cobie and Fiske each had 9 sacks their rookie years!)
