Zero chance the rams were going to remotely commit 26 million to an aging CB, ZERO

Better not signed than to over pay for him.

He would have been a luxury signing.

If Forbes emerges as expected they have their long term CB.

Durant has improved. This year he must show consistency then the Rams have their #2CB

Witherspoon has PROVED himself as being clutch at the fraction of what Ramsey would have cost.

Stay the course and develop the team for the long term. Overpaying for FA gunslingers isn't sustainable and Kroenke and Snead know it.

Regarding Ramsey, thanks but no thanks the Steelers can pay his retirement fund. There was a reason the Dolphins traded him. Value vs Cost is an everyday business reality. He's no longer the player he was in his prime. He's 30 so he's not old, but his prime is fading not rising. $26.6M for one year? No thanks, the Steelers are desperate the Rams are not. Their issue is at OT not CB.

This is the most recent thing McVay had to say about it:

"Definitely don't want to rule anything out because we're always open-minded to onboarding and acquiring quality players and people like him if we're able to do that, but there would be some obstacles that are real that are in the place of maybe preventing that from occurring."

Rams didn't want to pay Ramsey $21 mil. Pittsburgh was willing to.

Nothing WTF about it...

And Pittsburgh gave him a raise to 26 mil

I think the majority of Ramsnation would have said, "WTF" if the Rams pulled the trigger on 21 mil!!

i'm as big a Jalen fan as anyone, but this reeks of a "desperation" trade for Pitt.. and hey it's a business, Jalens agent was probably laughing as he signed.. no way the dude is worth the 26 mil.. i'll stay with McSnead on this one y'all !

Ramsey is past his prime, he'll get hurt just watch. Steelers will finish 3rd in the AFC north.

I was intrigued with the idea of bringing Ramsey back for another run at the Superbowl. But this time we'd be paying premium money for an aging cornerback whose skills will decline every year. He's not the guy we had in his prime.

The way I see it, the defense was pretty darn good overall down the stretch. Everyone thinks our secondary is the weak link. But they were part of that equation down the stretch. So how bad is it really?
