POST #1 TOPIC AUTHOR This article originally appeared on Commanders Wire:Does the NFC East have the best quarterbacks in the NFL?Which of the eight NFL divisions has the best quarterbacks? Where would you rank the NFC East?Nick Shook of NFL.com recently ranked all eight divisions by their quarterbacks heading into the 2025 season. Shook has the NFC East No. 3.Average QBI ranking: 14Dallas Cowboys: Dak Prescott (No. 19)New York Giants: Russell Wilson (No. 23)Philadelphia Eagles: Jalen Hurts (No. 9)Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels (No. 5)For a division that commands big-market attention annually, this feels right. There is a new hierarchy of main actors, however. In many previous years, Prescott would be the unquestioned top quarterback among the four. Instead, after missing nine games in 2024, he's third among this group, according to the year-end QBI rankings, and is going to need a strong bounceback season to usurp the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year (Daniels) and Super Bowl LIX MVP (Hurts). That's how high the bar is in the NFC East, where Wilson's Big Apple arrival will almost certainly be overshadowed, especially compared to the amount of attention his move to Denver in 2022 drew. More eyes will be focused on Daniels' sophomore season and Hurts' title defense. We'll see if the latter QB bumps his ranking up, which would appease the many Eagles fans who likely spend their free time throwing darts at my headshot. Here are Shook's rankings:8. AFC South7. NFC South6. NFC North5. AFC North4. AFC East3. NFC East2. NFC West1. AFC WestThe NFC East could have been ranked even higher if there had been more clarity for the Giants. New York signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, while also spending a first-round pick on Jaxson Dart. At some point, you figure Dart will play. The presence of Daniels has the NFC East much higher than it would have been last season. Some analysts believe Daniels is already a top-five quarterback, with Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott in almost everyone's top 10. Prescott missed much of last season due to injury, while Hurts and the Eagles won the Super Bowl.Well to be honest, once I hear Dak Prescott / top ten, I have to take the entire article with a grain of salt. Still, it's nice to see the West ranked high. Stafford, Purdy, Darnold and Murray....where should they rank? Been following the horns since the Coliseum had a Roman playing there. McVay: 77-49, 2 Superbowls, 1 Lombardi............Doubt at your own peril by 69RamFan 7 hours 57 minutes ago Total posts: 3588 Joined: Oct 15 2016 LA CA by way of NY/NJ Superstar Interesting QB ranking by division!
