Yeah I know my timing is backwards but it's how my GF and I live. She works from home and doesn't start until 8pm MT and works until 3-4 am MT. Which works just fine with my sleep issues.

But that aside, I can see McVay changing his offense up. I can see him using more 12 personnel with Higbee. Ferguson, Nacua and Adams. When he's back in 11 personnel it's likely to be Nacua, Adams and Atwell or Mumpfield in rotation. The Rams will have an option year with Adams in 2026 dependent upon his play. Devante loves LA so I think that won't be the issue if there is any. I don't see Atwell returning so it will probably be Nacua, Adams and Mumfield starting with Whittingon in the wings until after Adams.

With Hunter at RB I can see McVay in 12 personnel to spread out the LBs and still give them a strong passing game out of the formation. Hunter can be a very threatening weapon out of 12 personnel because how good Ferguson and who ever is follow-on to Higbee in 2026.

I can foresee how Ferguson, Hunter and Mumpfield can really impact changes in the Ram's base offense in the future.

Why do you think Mumpfield will leap frog Whittington?

Every year we hear talk of the Rams going more multiple. I remember Les Snead suggesting after they drafted Henderson we could see some two back sets with him and Gurley.

In 2023 Rams were first in the league using 11 personnel 93% of the time. Last year they were 2nd at 81% so that is a pretty big difference, i guess.

Stafford likes to throw the ball from the gun to a WR. I'm not sure how much that changes while he's the QB but we will see...

Why do you think Mumpfield will leap frog Whittington?.

Its not my intention to defend @Dare. And I'm not sure I am. Whittington was a player that I loved watching and I think he has a great future. He was drafted #213 in the 2024 draft, and Mumpfield was drafted #242 in 2025.

The real determination is what happens is during training camp. Is it not?

What could cause the leap frog?

Off the field issues, injury, playbook understanding, possible special teams use, and on the field execution and competition.

Based on what will happen on the field, it too early to make a conclusion about the leap frog.

An insider, even a WR coach can NOT possibly know which WR will fit best into McVay's scheme.

Maybe Mumps will will make the leap and be the next Puka Nacua, but based on what I saw from film during last season, I suspect that Whittington will be seeing a lot more snaps.

my guess is that Whitt can be the guy to fill in for a play or two if Nacua or Adams rolls an ankle and definitely on 4 WR sets.

We often hear how things will change with the Rams offense, Ill believe it when I see it.

There is only one football and we got Higs and Ferguson, Puka & Adams, Tutu with a big contract, Whit and now Mumpfield. Will see how it plays it out. Hopefully Staff and Adams take off quickly, might take Ferguson awhile to be fully integrated in the offense.

You don't see Atwell returning? That's makes me happy, being an Atwell fan. You saw Stafford not signing and KW being traded! You also saw the Rams going QB with their first or second pick.
