• Rams Tried to Trade Up to No. 8 in the Draft
The Rams reportedly made an attempt to trade up to the No. 8 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The deal didn’t go through, but it shows how aggressive they were about landing an impact player. They now hold two 1st-rounders in 2026, giving them flexibility for future moves.

There’s speculative buzz that the Rams could pursue a blockbuster deal for Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt. While still a longshot, the idea aligns with the Rams’ historic aggressiveness in landing blue-chip defenders.

Interesting insights.

TJ would be a massive get and would demonstrate the Rams have tunnel vision about a must win now mentality.

However, I think the Rams have ambition to be a win consistently team. Obviously they are aggressive, but signing Watt would severely restrict them in the following years.

Interesting collection of news items though, thank you!

An interesting thought about the center position. I was wondering about signing Lampkin to the PS considering the depth at center. Lampkin because of his mobility would seem to project as a backup center. Obviously he's a two year type project but he could make the roster as a backup next year if he's on the PS this year.

LOL Valid point. I almost asked Nate to not use TurfshowTimes at all. Because last year that "source" (on more than one occasion) ripped the Rams and Kyren Williams because Blake Corum wasn't used very much.

If Nate favors TurfshowTimes over the other sources on a regular basis, I'll pull the reins in a bit.

Agreed.

The Rams seem to have a knack of knowing when to hold em, when to fold em, and when to go all in.
