The Rams were stupid when the paid Gurley’s salary for his first year in Atlanta and then for some reason delayed the 20 mil payment to the point Gurley went to the press. Miami says, we’re not that dumb (or so the insider reports). I agree, no one including the Rams (I hope) are going to pay that full salary for Ramsey and it will be Miami waiving him or us losing him to a deal with KC or another SB contender.

For me, it comes down to 3 questions:

1. What do the Dolphins want in return?
2. How much of Ramsey's contract will the Dolphins pay?
3. Is Ramsey amenable to ultimately transitioning to FS (as Rod Woodson and Aeneas Williams did late in their careers)?

I'd say he gets released based off of his contract. Then gets picked up by the RAMs
He could rotate between "star" and CB position.

Bring Ramsey back. He’s still got good football left in him.

YES THIS!!!!! Ramsey gets burnt going N/S too easily now, but he would be SOOO freaking dangerous moving E/W.

That being said, if we brought him back, it would definitely be as a CB. Or back to the modified "STAR" postition the Rams ran him at.

I’ll add, not giving up big plays or taking bad gambles when the situation calls for being more conservative. The ole “live to fight another down” cliche.

This said, I would like to see Ramsey back if we can really make a smart acquisition. If he is released, I think the Rams will have an inside track to signing him. However, they need to be smart with the compensation as well as the number of years on the deal.

If they trade, as mentioned above, Miami has to eat some of that salary and hopefully the draft comp is 4th rd or lower. That could be a big ask. Depends on how badly the fins want to move on from him and his contract.

i saw him this past season down here in S Florida, he looked good as ever.. no forget we don't win that Lions home game (our SB year), without that Goff pick in the end zone! cat could play the "star" DB (see above), and get us another ring imma thinkin' :D
