Rams were a tale of two teams last year. I think they are closer to the latter than the former. 1. Rams went into the Week 6 bye 1-4 and were outscored by 48 points. They were 18th on offense and 32nd on defense. 2. In Week 1 they lost 4 of 5 starting OL which lingered for weeks. In Week 2 they lost Nacua and Kupp who were out until Week 8. That stretch which skewed their season long numbers poorly was without many key guys. 3. Their win total last year was 8.5 down from 10.5 the season prior due mostly to roster uncertainty - especially on defense - trying to integrate young talent to replace one of the best defenders of all time. 4. Lots of coach and player commentary about how during the bye big changes were made to the defense and tweaks were made to fit guys skill sets. There was huge improvement. 5. Post bye (Week 7-18) the defense finished the season 12th, up from 32nd, the offense finished the season with OL and WR's back 12th, up from 18th (22nd in 4 games without both). Rams went 9-2 and exceeded expectations.6. The Rams this season are now into win now (or win again) mode with a defense that came together far quicker than expected internally. They drafted defense to push it further and could still land Ramsey in June. They sorted Stafford out for one more season (left it to the first day of camp last year) and Adams in that offense is a positive. This year they get an average schedule overall, home and away. Team and path is certainly there for another run in January. RFU Season Ticket Holder 3 Reply 1 / 1
