I don’t see any holes anywhere. Now, if Havs gets injured…. But that can be said at a number of positions. No team has starter-depth at every position. I do think they will monitor the OL depth closely during camp to see if they really believe in their depth.

I don’t see any need to rush to bring Ramsey in. Again, Watch who we have in camp and see how big a need there is, if any.

I wouldn’t sweat the ILBs at all. Remember how almost everyone here was shredding Rozeboom, Reeder, etc. last year?? Speights should make a big jump, Landman is a proven vet and likely an upgrade over the LBs lost and Reeder. And the rookies are just better athletes and more versatile than the LBs we’ve had in the recent past. Shula will have this group dialed in and ready to go. The rookies will take their lumps as they learn the NFL game. But I don’t think that will be a big issues and they will be battle tested by the time the playoffs start.

Health is the single biggest key to a long playoff run. IMO.

I agree we have the starters to compete. We cant have an injury to Staff or Puka obviously. We cant afford either OT to go down and we dont have enough corners to lose more than one to injury. I hope it is a light year injury wise.

My only concern, is a backup swing tackle,
unless the coaching staff sees some improvement from McC & possibly Leveston.
we have the depth for the inside in the G/C position.

Will just have to wait and see what happens in camp as far as the OL is concern.

But our starting unit on both side of the ball is covered,
to include our rotational & backup D players.

As it is with any playoff contender.

if the Rams want to play man coverage against elite WRs, then I'm all for bringing him in .... In My opinion, using him in zone is a waste of money

If they needed a "top CB" why didn't they even try to draft one? YOU believe (and undoubtedly some other amateur pro personnel men) they need a CB, ILB (despite drafting Poo Paul) and OL help. But during the draft when those players were available all we heard was crickets from management. They aren't stupid.....they've proven that.

McClendon? I saw him in 4 games, where he allowed 3 sacks and the rest of the OL allowed 12. Was McClendon bad or was the competition stout? All my years conversing on Rams boards has taught me the parrot syndrome. Something that is said enough, however unfounded, becomes fact and then is parroted over and over. I don't know if McClendon is any good but I also don't know if he's bad.

I never said we lack a top QB. NEVER. Stafford is the man. I was talking about the future and another chance to improve on Stetson Bennett. I'm not impressed with Jimmy G but he's a bckup. Hopefully Stafford will stay healthy. IMO McClendon is bad.

I said CB, not QB.

As for Poona Ford, on You Tube, I watched the retired All-pro Eagles center Kelse talk about him. He said he was the toughest NT for him to block because he is quick; shorter than him (Poona gets leverage on him) and he has really long arms that kept Kelse from getting into him.
And, oh yes, Kelce stated Aaron was the ONLY Dlineman in the league they always double teamed and he still had trouble with him ;)

We absolutely won the draft!!!!! Because Terrence Ferguson. I like Hunter I think he’s special Stewart’s great.

And I know I keep talking about Ferguson but when I see that tape. All I see is Travis Kelce. And he has so much speed. And shows so much speed.

And remember Kelce showed alot of that speed at Cincinatti.

Win the draft? Lose the draft?

The only metric that IMO applies is have the Ram's FO improved the team. The answer is yes. In terms of metrics, that is the most important metric. To compare against other team drafts is a head shaker. All teams have their specific needs and different ways to address them. In 2021 the Rams addressed their needs in the short term with hired gun FAs and won a SB.

When you draft to build you are looking long term in hopes of opening a sustained window of SB opportunities. IMO the Rams are in that mode for the last 3 drafts. Did they fill the holes in the roster, both immediate and long term? The answer is yes, so what more can the fans expect? How good the Rams draft or don't will be shown over the next 2-3 years. If they are the legitimate SB contenders they look to be then they had outstanding drafts. If not they need to address why not?

Season success is the only metric that matters. 2023 showed strong improvement over 2022. 2024 the roster was even better. We must hope that this draft continues that strong upward trend. The proof of winning drafts is how good or not the team is after the draft. There is no proof that any team "won or lost" the draft at this point. It's a media gimmick to generate interest nothing more. There is only one realistic way to prove or disprove anything at this point. Proving the value of each team's draft starts in September with the start of the 2025 regular season.

Yes I believe the Rams will be better this year than last. What more as a fan can I ask or expect? With me it's this hope that is the basis for my excitement for the coming season. That is more than enough to have be excited for the coming season.
