Pretty indifferent tbh. BUT! as a fan of a team that will soon be looking for our own QB I'm pretty invested in other teams finding at least the illusion of success at the QB position for the foreseeable future. At least until we can get our future snug and secure. Do I think Shedeur has what it takes to make it in this league? I do actually. Really, the more I think about it, the more I think the most appropriate comp for Shedeur is a more mobile Jared Goff. Hell, even the drafts we're kind of the same. Two starter-ish type talents in a pretty shallow QB class. Now think about how different things would have went for Goff if he had come off as cocky and dismissive in his draft interviews, blown off the combine, and had Deion F'n Sanders sitting in the wings. Holding the veto on your pick if he doesn't approve of your team. Possibly ready to take your job if Shedeur doesn't succeed in your system, and even if that didn't happen 100% ready to put you on blast in the national media for the ways you're not using him right, or how your system sucks. A lot of teams are just NOT going to sign up for that (which is EXACTLY what we saw). Not unless you are a FREAK athlete. Deion was. Shedeur isn't.I honestly hope Shedeur succeeds, mostly because none of this is his fault AT ALL. It's almost entirely his dad's for being to arrogant, and prideful, and full of himself to see that he is the problem, and just not smart enough to know when to get out of his son's way. I really wish the Browns were on Hard Knocks this year tbh. Not for the spectical. But because the QB competition between Sanders and Gabriel is going to be great!!!! Gabriel is a workhorse! It's all he knows. He will have that playbook down in a matter of days. It would be fascinating to watch Sanders face that head on. Sanders is the better athlete, easily. Gabriel the likely the more cerebral. I'd love to watch that unfold. I will continue to foolishly talk sh*t about random players because they get better IMMEDIATELY after I do!! I am a living breathing reverse jinx!! by ramman2999 13 hours 49 minutes ago Total posts: 927 Joined: Nov 23 2022 LA Coliseum Veteran Shedeur Sanders ... nuff said POST #82 Agree and we still got a shot. And you got Deshawn Watson lurking for a massage on T.V. Lol But seriously they would be a good watch. What’s funny is Shedur is a poor mans Deshawn. Great guy to learn from Football stuff not talking about rub and tug. I think Shedur is wayyyyyy better than Dillion Gabriel. It’s funny when people say Deions son isnt an athlete. You do realize Deion is argubally the best athlete in NFL history. Sheduer has that confidence Cleveland is perfect for him . Cause that media is so nice. As the newly drafted Cleveland Browns quarterback, Sanders is about to face one of the most brutal trial-by-fire rookie seasons in recent memory. The Browns’ 2025 schedule features an all-star lineup of pass rushers that would make any rookie offensive coordinator think twice about game planning from under center. From T.J. Watt and Trey Hendrickson in his own division to Nick Bosa, Maxx Crosby, and Haason Reddick in out-of-conference matchups, Sanders’ margin for error will be razor-thin. “Dude’s gonna be pressure-cooked before Week 5,” wrote @SnapCountSavage, an online Browns fan known for posting film threads. “This ain’t Boulder anymore. These are grown men with families and sack incentives.”In college, Sanders faced pressure — no doubt about it. His offensive line at Colorado was often overmatched, and he took 52 sacks in 2023 alone. But there’s a world of difference between getting chased by a future Day 2 prospect and trying to escape Maxx Crosby with your helmet still on straight. “In the Pac-12, maybe one guy a season makes you speed up your clock,” posted @ZoneBlitzUncle, a longtime poster on Dawgs by Nature. “In the NFL, that guy’s coming every damn week — and he’s pissed.”What’s more, Sanders has a tendency to drift in the pocket and hold onto the ball, hoping to create magic downfield — a style that’s gutsy but dangerous at the pro level. “You can’t freelance against Nick Bosa,” said a self-proclaimed ‘QB whisperer’ on the BrownDogs discussion board. “That little spin-roll he did against Stanford? That’s a forced fumble and six the other way in this league.”Still, the potential is undeniable. Sanders threw for over 4,000 yards and 37 touchdowns last season and shows a calm command of the huddle. “If he gets even average protection, he can cook,” added @WestSideProtectionPlan, who ranks every Browns lineman weekly in his Substack newsletter. “But you better hope Cleveland’s tackles aren’t buying their gloves off Etsy.”Whether Sanders starts in Week 1 or waits behind veterans like Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco, the message is the same: the NFL doesn’t hand out grace periods. Every snap will test his timing, his awareness, and his toughness. “We’ll find out real quick if he’s a baller or just a brand,” said @BrownsFilmDad, wrapping up a 14-minute YouTube breakdown. “Because in this league, QB1 stands for Quarterback or Back on the Bench.”2025 Cleveland Browns Home Games (9):Baltimore RavensCincinnati BengalsPittsburgh SteelersBuffalo BillsMiami DolphinsGreen Bay PackersMinnesota VikingsTennessee TitansSan Francisco 49ersCleveland Browns Away Games (8):Baltimore RavensCincinnati BengalsPittsburgh SteelersChicago BearsDetroit LionsNew England PatriotsNew York JetsLas Vegas Raiders ne supra crepidam sutor iudicaret Reply 9 / 9 1 9 Display: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by: AuthorPost timeSubject Sort by: AscendingDescending Jump to: Forum Rams/NFL Other Sports Rams Fans United Q&A's Board Business 83 posts May 02 2025
