As soon as I saw the trade details, I assumed that this is now a given. After listening to the McVay/Snead comments after round 1, that locked it down for me.

They're not even interested in this year's quarterbacks.

I agree, with the only caveat being the Rams are really unpredictable. Maybe McVay is enamored with one of these QBs. I mean i doubt it, but maybe...

There is no downside in that pick if its 4th round or later.

They are NOT taking a QB high if at all. Why would they?? They have 3 guys locked in. No QB in this draft is competing for anything other than the #3. There will be many other positional players available who can actually come in and compete for reps in 2025 and beyond. There are ZERO QBs available who can do that. The Rams want to make a run this year and want to add as many top quality players who can help them do that. These players who can do that will naturally help longer term as well.

They are also building the ability to move around next year where there should be more and higher quality QBs available. The Rams want a franchise altering QB, in a good way - not like a Jamarcus Russel. That dude ain’t in this draft so why burn a pick on one.

Dare has been clamouring for a QB for months now. He said this is 'probably' Stafford's last year so they were definately in the QB market THIS YEAR. The Rams were gonna take one in the first. Now it's the second or third round. If they don't take one today it'll be day 3. And if they haven't taken one when it's all said and done, I'm sure he'll predict it'll be next year. Which is basically what many have been saying all along.

It’s just tiresome , I try to be respectful with posters but for some reason your posts really rub me the wrong way.

Say you were wrong (which you were-and were wrong on a LOT) and move on to your next crystal ball seer.

I have news for you, most of these posters are more in synch than people you “chat” with etc.
