With 3 picks they can get the people they need then with their fourth round pick they will have an opportunity to setup four positions. Like I've said before this roster doesn't have a lot of holes in it. The most glaring is the lack of clarity at QB.

Rams only have 2 picks tomorrow.

Rams have Stafford and Jimmy G. That's a lot of clarity.

The future, well maybe they address it this year, maybe next.

It's certainly not urgent.

In chat, someone said Jourdan said we tried to trade up for T.Mac. and on reddit I read we tried to trade up for Omarion Hampton. Neither happened so the prices were too high or the negotiations took too long.

Shit, when you think about it, and the way the Rams draft, they could have the power of 3 First Round picks next year. The two they already have, and 2026's if they wanted to spend it, and that's assuming they don't find a way to bank another between now and next years draft.

Russini said Rams were interested in TMac. Henderson is still available if they like him...

Yep that's how I see it. They could wait until next year and they have leverage to move up in the first to get someone they want.

If they decide to kick the can down the road one more year they can do it. Then in next year's draft if there is say a QB they really like then they have the leverage to move up to get him. Or they can grab two first round players. They still might take a QB this year and then keep kicking that extra first round pick can down the road for even another year.

I think they will draft a QB even if he just serves as a bridge for someone else a year or two down the road if they can trade that extra first round pick for another first round pick the next year. While grabbing an extra second when they do. If the QB works out then they can grab a couple of prime players. Or trade up for a stud CB.

When I first saw the compensation I wasn't too pleased. But the more I thought about it, that extra first gives them a lot of flexibility next year. If they draft a QB this year and he doesn't work out they have the ability to play him as a #2 and draft a new starter. It simply gives them flexibility and insurance and minimizes the risk. Or they can potentially convert that extra first to an extra first the following year.

Or.......like my neighbor's girlfriend said, "they can go 3-14 this year and take the best QB and best RB in the 2026 draft. Then get a good LT high in the 2nd".

After sleeping on it I like the trade, I guess it just sucks watching NFL Network all day and seeing the same commercials over and over irritated me, :lol2: two first round picks next year is awesome and we still can get some pretty good players this year. I'm still pulling for Mason Taylor but I trust the Rams to make
good choices. I just can't take that Post Malone commercial anymore!! I hate bud lite :lol2:

The trade was awesome. They have two firsts for 2026 which allows them many options.

Hold them until next April.
Trade one to move high into the 2nd round today (and get additional picks).
Trade one for a player who becomes available during this season.

The funny thing is, the team who started "F them picks" has now used their only 1st round selection on a bonified pro bowler and acquired 2 firsts for the QB heavy 2026 draft. You can't make this stuff up.

Their 2026 draft lineup?
Round 1
Round 1 (via Atlanta)
Round 2
Round 3
Round 4
Round 5
Round 5 (via Tennessee Titans)
Round 6 (via Houston Texans)
Round 7 (via Baltimore Ravens)

That's 9 picks for next year. And that 5th rounder from Tennessee could be pretty high. They could end up having 6 in the first 140 picks. Imagine being highly successful this season and coming into 2026 loaded for bear!

Yup, I'm all about Mason Taylor, Azareye'h Thomas, and Jack Bech now.
