Moderator Re: Give Me Your Draft Picks POST #179 The Rams are a lot smarter than all that. They draft PLAYERS who they think fit the team and schemes. They don’t draft for position per se. They do draft a variety of positions because their rankings take them that way. Other teams affect this as they take players the Rams want before the Rams can. Inevitably, needs get addressed by happenstance more than anything else. - WHEN a team doesn’t draft for need first. Need can be a tie breaker for sure. But, for the most part, the Rams draft the best player available. That’s why they are as good as they are. The other good teams do the same thing. The crap teams? They probably don’t do this as well. So those percentage predictions aren’t relative to anything the Rams actually think and do. I look at as many players as I can and that ain’t many. But there are some guys I see who just look like they will be good NFL players and sooner rather than later. Those are the guys I want the Rams to draft. That why I don’t see a QB getting picked in the 1st. Unless they have one with a high 2nd round type of grade and there are no other players ranked significantly higher. Some positions are more important than others and that too factors. Just my opinion on how I think the Rams have been doing this for the past 7 years or so. by Elvis 2 weeks 3 days ago Total posts: 41222 Joined: Mar 28 2015 Los Angeles Administrator Give Me Your Draft Picks POST #180 PARAM wrote:Seems odd to me TE and WR are behind QB.
