I love the kid when he has his head in the game. Very exciting!

However, he takes plays off and looses his cool against his teammates when the green dot calls the coverage different than he wants it to be.

His former high school coach was able to hold his hand and temper the child's internal road rage by being with him on the field in college and with the Raiders.

Daddy Pierce is gone and now he has to stand on his own two feet, I don't think he's learned how.

I don't know what Jones' off the field issues are, my guess is that the real news hasn't broken in the media yet. Arrest? Gun charges? domestic issues? Illegal substances?

I hope it is none of the above as I love watching him play. Good luck to him.

Gun charges while with the Pats, 2023. Not sure if any with the Raiders.

Not familiar with him, but he did have his best year in picks and tackles. On the flip side QB's rated at 108 when throwing his way. Sounds like a fairly talented risk taker :( IF we could get him on the cheap and let him compete in camp, I'd be for it. I really want to see how CB Forbes looks in camp!

He had a bad QB rating allowed when he was the primary defender. Something like a 108. I'd pass for sure. Here it is:

In 2024, Jones started 16 games and totaled career bests in tackles (69), passes defended (16) and interceptions (3). But Jones gave up 698 yards, 9 touchdowns and a passer rating of 108.9 on 88 targets as the nearest defender.

The author (me) should have done this level of homework prior to suggesting this player for the Rams. Way too many red flags.

Agreed.

If he takes plays off (which he did), and refuses to play the coverage that was called (he did at times), then yes his stats are gonna be dismal. If it wasn't for the Antonio Pierce, (in my opinion) the Raiders DC would have released him in the early part of the 2024 season.

If Jack ever grows up, he will put many of those red flags behind him.

I doubt he will ever play in the NFL again, but if he does, I will be a fan of his. When his head is in the game, he's exciting to watch.
