Youngblood--I'm starting to think we will trade back to get a 2nd and another 3rd...unless a highly prized TE or corner gets close to us in the 1st. It's amazing to me how much value we continue to draft in the middle to latter rounds.

Do you by chance own a vineyard?

Just learn whose opinion you value (or don't) and choose to read accordingly.
Most people here bring something worthwhile to the party. a few here bring a lot of garbage and then they surprise with something of value.

I love it when my opinions are challenged, I learn a lot by being proven wrong.

I sometimes/sometimes-not call out pompous assholes, which I'm inclined to do about the OP here. I tend to retaliate to repeated micro-aggressions against me that go unmoderated.

Can't even skin a cat that many was.

Disagree. Everyone has an opinion. Valid argument? Not always true.

Dare wrote:Whether it's this draft, be it in the first round or later, the one thing that is readily apparent that the Rams by their own admission are in the hunt for the next QB1.

Based off of what? Some take a bridge and assume things, then present that as fact.

Dare wrote:I don't see FA QBs as a long term answer because of cost which is why I feel that this draft will be where they grab a QB1.

Maybe. But there has been nothing said to indicate that is their aim.

Bob Carl--I do own a very small, 300 Syrah vineyard on my 5 acres. It's on the edge of the Ballard Canyon Appalachia, just about 1/2 mile from Solvang. A fun thing and I have a buddy who does most of the work and I get 50%. Only about 22-28 total cases per season.
Great story to that little vineyard. I went to Whittier College with both of Fergie's parents, Pat (aka Ferg Dog) and Teri. Her Dad, (who we called Fergie in college and was in the same frat with me) moved up here and we planted the vineyard @ 2007. It was here that Fergie (Black Eyed Peas) the daughter, got the first few years of her "Fergalicious" wine. He died suddenly about 3 years ago, and then she sold the family compound she had built for him next door. I'm the "piker" in this neighborhood ;) In 1993, Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. moved in next door to me on the other side. We became the very closest of friends, til he passed in 2014. I just got damn lucky as to when I bought this and who moved in later.

Thanks for sharing the fantastic story of your vineyard. How awesome!

In my opinion, Syrah is one of the most underappreciated grape varieties in all of U.S. The price/quality far exceeds what it sells for in comparison to the more popular varieties.

And whoever it was that selected the 300 (clone) Syrah when your vines were planted knew what they were doing.

Cheers!

Bob and Ramsman34--Syrah is my fav but I have to admit that Blackjack Winery out by Los Olivos has the best Syrah I've ever had. I don't know the guy, but he is supposed to have written the programming for video Blackjack games in Vegas. The Syrah is named "Double Down". Haven't had it for a few years, but it was only $22 a bottle then.

This reminds me of that time I was having coffee with Mark Knopfler, Bjorn Borg, Richard Petty and Sting and I said to them "man, don't you hate it when people just randomly name drop?"

8-) :lol2: 8-)
