I stand corrected. I think Spags was the HC. Either way, Steven Jackson always played like a winner on some really weak Rams teams.

His best year, 2006 (1500+ rushing; 2000+ yds from scrimmage) the Rams should have won the division. They finished 8-8, second to Seattle (9-7) in the West. The reason was they lost twice to the Seahawks by 2 pts on last second FGs by Josh Brown (
54 yds @ 0:00 and 34 yds @ 0:09). Win both and they win the division, split and they're tied, though I don't remember how they would have fared in the tiebreaker. SJ was phenomimal.

Ah, the great Scott Linehan's first year, and the last year the offense was any good until McVay in 2017, not to mention the last time the Rams won at least half of their games, again until McVay in 2017...
