Thoughts on PARAM’s List

My (Nate Kessler's) Top 10 QBs

1. Mahomes – Three Super Bowls, five straight AFC Championship appearances, and the most dominant player in the league. No brainer.

2. Allen – His dual-threat ability is unmatched, and he's carried Buffalo, but until he wins it all, he stays behind Mahomes.

3. Burrow – He’s proven he can win big games, beating Mahomes in the playoffs once. If he stays healthy, he’s a top-three guy.

4. Lamar – MVP talent, electrifying playmaker, and has improved as a passer, but playoff success still eludes him.

5. Herbert – Talent is undeniable, but his teams keep underachieving. Coaching and supporting cast haven’t helped, though.

6. Goff – Has completely revived his career in Detroit and is one of the most efficient passers in the league.

7. Stafford – Still one of the most dangerous passers when healthy. Super Bowl champ with a clutch gene.

8. Stroud – His rookie season was nothing short of elite. Poise, accuracy, and leadership are all there.

9. Love – Took major strides in 2023 and looks like Green Bay's next franchise QB. The upside is huge.

From that original list,
there are only three QB's with SB rings.
and one of them was saved because of a RB!
So, as far as I am concern,
yes, the original posters got it right as far as Stafford is concerned!

With out knowing the source it's hard to judge the criticism at face value. Who knows maybe Sanders intentionally tanked the interview because its a team he definitely would waste his career at. The Browns immediately come to mind. How would people react if that came from the Browns?

I think if the criticism was wide spread it would have had more legs than an unnamed assistant from an unnamed organization. At this late date it seems like an intentional sabotage attempt to sink him to a lower picking team.

That said, just from his film and evaluations the kid has talent but he's no finished product. Far from it. IMO the biggest concern from teams would be the kids father who has a history of an uncontrolled mouth. This appears to be the weakest QB class in a long time. Can Sanders drop? Absolutely, but I think it won't be beyond the middle of the second round.

Sanders I feel is one of those QBs that can start in his second year, but expectations should be tempered until we can see how he plays in his third year. But teams picking a QB in the first round will normally want him to start year one which might be a mistake. He potentially could struggle then you add that doubt to his plate from then on.

In my opinion the Rams would be looking at a QB that projects as a year 2 starter. They would want a QB that doesn't require a large amount of development, especially in terms of technique. They will be looking for a QB that needs polishing not development. I think they will be looking at a QB that has shown solid consistency, there are far fewer of those in every draft than the developmental QBs.
