I'm not sure on which would be better but I'm on board with a veteran even if they pick a CB at 26. I guess I would lean towards Spoon because of his familiarity with the system but Slay is a proven player.

I do think some are forgetting about D. Kendrick. He missed all of last year but showed flashes before his injuries.

Hopefully for him, the refs may have forgotten about him. It seemed to me the officials (like many Ram fans) believed every play he was involved in deserved a flag. Don't get me wrong....he deserved a lot of those flags but there were plenty that were BS calls. What I like about Kendrick is he isn't shy in the run game. If he could only temper his game in pass defense (and keep the refs off his back), he'd be an asset.

The Seahawks probably are looking to draft a QB this year. They have the 18th pick and rumors say if Leonard drops that is who they will take. Otherwise they will use their second round pick to take someone like Shough or Will Howard. If they move up, they will look at Sanders if they can move that far up.

IMO it would be a mistake to start any of these QBs this year as a rookie. Everyone of them including Ward, would benefit from a red shirt year. Ward and Sanders could conceivably start but their teams might not see the best sides of them. The NFL is tough on rookie QBs as it tends to magnify flaws. I think the Seahawks will start whoever they draft as a rookie. Otherwise they could have simply used Geno Smith as a bridge. McDonald's seems to be under pressure after last year's collapse.

Seattle has released Tyler Lockett, traded Geno Smith and Metcalf wants out...."preferably to a contender". They are going to look a lot different in 2025.

Reports are saying Seattle going to
make a strong push for Darnold. Guess they were waiting on the franchise tags deadline to pass so they would know if they could get him

I would think Darnold's a slight downgrade to Geno. But they say McDonald wants a strong defense and run game. Their run/pass ratio leaned heavier to the pass. He wants to change to that. Whoever their quarterback is will be expected to be a game manager. Not sure Darnold is that kind of quarterback.

Darnold seems to be perfect for that. Don't take risks. Manage the game. Hand the ball off. In Minnesota they asked him to do much more and it didn't rear it's ugly head until the end of the year....where he might have lost A LOT of money.
