One would guess the Commanders would be the visitors for when they’re Eagles open at home and raise their banner. But maybe the NFL wants to save that matchup for December? Then could it be the Rams? Or would it be Detroit?

It would be nice to play them early due to the clear weather advantage they have in the winter. What was disconcerting was that the weather was better the day before and the day after the game. I really felt the Chiefs were going to take a step back. Too much going on with them internally. I felt if the Rams could make it to the Super Bowl they could take it.

Well another season will be upon us with a whole new set of surprises. Hopefully they will be pleasant surprises.

On to the draft and knowing what is going to happen with Stafford and Kupp. I honestly don't think Kupp is tradeable alone and for the Rams to get any real value other than cap relief for moving him. The Rams could use a second round or 5th round pick. They might get a 5th round pick for Kupp if they eat a chunk of his contract. Packaging both might get them a second day pick.

Regardless the SB only reinforced the belief in me that they will take a QB in the first round. It's the glaring obvious hole in the Ram roster. The Eagles have done a good job in building a complementary roster around Hurt.

Unlike most I see a RB probably on the second day of the draft. Williams is a good back but the scheme they use him in is limited. It's optimized for him which is as a simple chain mover. A mobile QB is only part of the equation. A fast powerful RB really is necessary and IMO Corum isn't that guy. He's another Williams type RB who is a chain mover.

The problem with Akers is he's a perimeter runner. They need better between the tackles where this OL is built to run. He doesn't need 4.3 speed but he needs better than 4.6 speed and most of all has good vision and agility to make inside runs.

There is one thing Sean is good at is learning from what works and what really doesn't. That loss to the Eagles highlighted a change in offensive concepts is needed and it starts at QB and RB.

Rams opened at home against Buffalo when we hung our banner in 2022 and that game did not go well for the Rams.

Maybe we could do the same for the Eagles...
