This is almost the case of excellence being punished. Ike made the HOF, and deservedly so and he was Torry's older teammate. However, Torry was the Rams leading receiver from 2000-2008. That's 9 years, next to Ike for 7 of them. Personally I've always believed #80 was the better of the two but as time has passed I believe the difference is almost unmeasurable. Holt is being punished for being Ike's teammate. Same with Harrison/Wayne.

I've always believed the true measure of a WR was YPC.

That's why one of my alltime favorites is Harold Jackson 17.9 (Henry Ellard also comes to mind 16.9). HJ has more than 10,000 yards on less than 600 receptions. Most of which was amassed in an era before the illegal contact rule when a WR could be knocked down 30 yards downfield.
