“Kelly Stafford said on her podcast that Matthew Stafford cracked four ribs against the 49ers in Week 15. Stafford aggravated the injury against the Eagles on Sunday and acknowledged after the game that he’d been dealing with a rib injury “for some time.”

Broken ribs and he still played well in playoffs.

Yep, dude is tough as nails and not tendonitis as some have speculated.

Plus, helps explain why he was off against SF, Jets and Cardinals...

No surprise that he played through it, and played well in the playoffs.

Major props to our QB1.

Makes me feel comfortable that he’s got at least another year or maybe two in him.

Another quality offseason by Snead and McVay and we’ll legitimately be SB contenders with Stafford in 2025. With Stafford, we’re favorites to win the West for the first time in a few years.

If he did have cracked ribs and the Rams didn't say so, that could be a reporting violation by the Rams. Here's McVay today:

“After the 49ers game, he had banged up his ribs,” McVay said in addressing Kelly Stafford’s comments. “We took a picture of it. Nothing showed up on that image. It continued to kind of just irritate him. But it didn’t affect his ability to practice (or) anything play-related, but he did have some irritation. And then before the Minnesota game (the wild card) when he did get an MRI scan there showed some stress reactions. That was what was communicated to me. But it didn’t limit his ability to practice.”

Maybe if it isnt enough to affect practice status it doesnt need to be reported?

I thought that too and did a little googling, seems like if it's a notable injury, it's supposed to be on the injury report regardless of practice/game status.

So maybe that's what's going on here.

I also found it a little odd that on one else picked up on this. I'm sure Rams reporters were trying to confirm whether what Kelly said was medically correct...
