Jimmy G would be surprise. He worked well here.

The ultimate prize would be Trevor Lawrence.

Well in a few months we will know what the Rams decide to do. Regardless as a loyal fan I will embrace it even if I have to hold one nostril LOL.

Naww I hated how the season ended but I'm not going to deny it was a fun ride. Also, we have a legit defense and a great DC. No DC or defense is perfect, but this one is going to be good for years to come and will be even better next year.

IMO the offense needs retooling, but most of the parts are there. The Interior OL looks good, and OLs are per old school, built inside out. OTs are next to be determined this year. Teams had to overload and blitz to beat them. A QB with better mobility or if Stafford plays one more season which I doubt he will, needs to be able to move and reset to make good throws.

Puka, Whittington, and perhaps Robinson with Smith taking Atwell's spot is a good core of WRs to build around. People forget how fast Smith is as he timed in the 4.4 range he simply needs to work on his route running. With a rotational run stuffing NT and ILB the front 7 is built (re-signing Hoecht is a must IMO) In the secondary they are good at safety with Curl, Lake, and Kinchens. At CB they have 3 CBs who can give them man coverage in Durant, Witherspoon and Forbes. Add in Wallace when they play zone and they have really improved and will only be better this coming season.

Defensively, a legit run stuffing NT who can shed blocks and tackle and a run stuffing ILB will do wonders for this defense. They already are one of the better pass rushing fronts.

Yeah it sucks how this season ended but next year looks good. If they can avoid all the injuries, this is going to be a contender with no doubt. Football (NFL) season is over for me. I'm not interested in watching any games. Time to dust off the fishing equipment, I hear the bass calling me!

The only thing NFL that will interest me will be what moves the Rams make or don't make. The draft and FA signings will be very interesting.

I'm all on board the Trevor Lawrence train, IF the Rams could make it happen. But it feels like a pipe dream.

AND as part of his contract he has to cut his hair. :lol2:

There are some highly drafted young guys who have not developed, etc. Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Mac Jones, Justin Fields who might come here as the #3 replacing Bennett and to semi-compete with JG if JG re signs here. At the #3, perhaps MCV could develop one of them. This would only happen in the off season and a little bit in training camp. MCV would have to REALLY believe he can turn one of them into a top flight guy or it wouldn’t make sense. The Jags have the 5th pick. I don’t think this is a good QB draft so can’t see them trading Lawrence. And they would want too much for him is my guess. He sure seems to have the tools. Only MCV knows. I see Stafford here for one more season and the Rams to make the move to go - here is that massively over used cliche - all in again. I’m not so sure Kupp stays. But I hope so. I don’t think he has lost as much as some prognosticators have been saying. Re signing A Jax is a priority then making sure you have improved depth behind the starters in the OL and hoping the injury bug stays away. They will focus on the O and tweak the D (corner, DL, ILB) to get as poised as possible to make a SB run in 2025, IMO.

Im telling yall Trevor is the guy monitor that. We have the capital and will build the capital well acquire the assests to make it happen.

I saw that stuff too and thought pretty much as you are. But the estimated cost of 3 first round picks minimum is really high. Also, he's not really plug n play. He's got a whole lot of issues that suggest either coaching issues with the Panthers (most likely) or work ethic with the player. He will need a year to learn the offense and get coached up. That said what's the difference between him and a rookie?

He throws a lot of INTs which suggests he isn't reading well either through poor prep (his part) or coaching. A rookie like Leonard will cost 2 first round picks to get to about #10 where the Bears pick who don't need a QB. Leonard is projected to go in that range.

The Rams have the perfect QBs to mentor a rookie in Stafford or Jimmy who would be the bridge. If he struggles badly in his second year then if they signed Jimmy to a 2 year deal they have a ready to play vet in house.

If Jimmy wins a Lombardi and they want to ride him no problem because that rookie QB is on a rookie contract. The rookie can be trade bait if Jimmy works out. If Lawrence bombs you are out 3 picks with no QB.

That is why I think if they are going to draft a QB then Jimmy on a 2-3 yr deal gives them security at the position that you don't get with Stafford who will cost them about $50M next year alone. One of the beat writers for the Rams suggested that some comments by Stafford after Sunday's game makes her believe he knows he's done.

Hey, you seem to be having trouble using our quote feature. Let one of us know if you need help.

You can just click on " on the tool bar to quote a post. You do not need the [url] take for anything ever really, certainly not quoting another poster.

And in your post above you attribute the quote to the wrong person.

Like i said, let us know if you need some help.

Dare great points. Youre very smart.

Trevor Lawrence had a bad year. But the kid can sling it. Look at the year before and when he came close to beating Mahomes when they came back against the Chargers. I love his compete all Mcvay qualities. The kid is a hard worker all Mcvay qualities. And loves Football. Smart height mobl Mobile in the pockt pocket can throw from the pocket. Pocket awarness.

This is todays NFL

1. Mahomes

2. Jackson

3.Burrow

4.Allen

5. Stroud

6. Lawrence

7. Herbert

They all can run in the pocket and all have great size.

When assessing this seeing how the Rams do things and looking at what happened witg Stafford where he was at what he accomplished in Detroit wanting to get over the hump. The next guy that made sense like that what was gettable was Lawrence.

We have Leverage. 3 first rounders is insane off of multiple pro bowls and a playoff apperance Deshawn Watson got 2 first rounders with the off field.

I think Lawrence gets 2 first round picks and d a second gets done.

Hes slumped plus we give rgem them a little salary relued relief. Its a big trade but a treade trade I think rhe the rams would make to solidify the new ear era of Rans Rams Football with

Verse Nacua and Lawrence.

The Stafforcera

The Stafford era is over once he retires. The way Kupp was talking scared the shit outa me. Him and Stafford are boys and if he’s talking like that what is Stafford saying? That’s why this Super Bowl run was so important .

That Donald Stafford Kupp era is over it was mostly over when Donald retired. And knowing Staffy like I do he’s probably talking to Ad to.

And you Tre

And Zen Ronin you the same guy laughing about Lawrence probably you was laughing thinking no a way we get Stafford and we got him.

Lawrence is possible. So is Burrow if he demands a trade. Players are different and these guys are obsessed with winning a Super Bowl.

Mcvay is a guy guys want to play for. Unlike Shanahan Mcvay has the rings.
