I have to start off with our Defense.
I actually thought they played pretty good.

Except they just gave up three big run TD plays,
two by Barkley, and one by Hunt for a total of 184 run yds and 3 TD

If you take away those three big run plays, they would only have 166 total yds.
If it wasn’t for those plays, they actually played really good.

Stats:
7/sacks, 10/TFL, 6/QB Hits

The Offense:

What caused us to lose the game,
were those two Fumbles, one from RB/Williams, and QB/Stafford.

And we still had a chance even in the 4th qtr after the Eagles scored their last TD.

With 4:47 left in the game, we made a quick strike and score a passing TD in 10 plays.

Then our Defense held the Eagles on three plays and made them punt.

The RAMs didn’t have no quit in them.
I actually thought that Stafford was going to have another come from behind win again.

But on 3rd and 2yds to go on the 13yd line,
C/Limmer lost a block on Carter for a sack for a 9yd lost.

I felt that RB/Williams should have stayed in to help block with Limmer,
Or Dotson help to double team with Limmer.
While Williams to help chip on the end on Havenstein side.

We were that close to winning the game.

I’m proud of these men and the season we had!

When Stafford went back to pass on the 3rd and 2 my immediate inclination was WTF? Perfect time to let Williams atone for his blunder. Then the sack. The last play had absolutely no chance. Why throw the ball out of bounds? It's a whole lot easier to criticize from my couch than to actually play the game but it seems to me that throwing the ball anywhere within the playing field would have some chance while tossing it out of bounds just ends the game. .

Ball slipped. It was going to Puka. If anything, I fault Stafford for looking at nobody but Puka on that last play-- but honestly, I would've made the same call in his position.

I agree that 3rd sack was terrible-- can't happen on a critical play.

Yes, but you can't take away those 3 plays. And those 3 plays downgrade their overall performance.

The defense's #1 job going into this game was to prevent/limit big runs by Barkley and Hurts. They didn't come close to doing that.

There's nothing that says that if you take away those plays the Eagles wouldn't have scored on those drives anyway. But we'll never know. Stop any one of those 3 touchdowns, and maybe we win the game.

For all the good things the defense did yesterday, overall they were just okay. Not great, not really good, not even pretty good.

If that ball doesn't sail at least Puka woulda been in position to fight for it. Maybe he wins. Maybe he doesn't. But there was no chance when it flew high out of bounds. Conditions were bad. Hard to make good throws. It happens. Eagles were better. Period. On to next year. The defense has a chance to be really good if they upgrade the ILB and CB positions.

I don't think he was trying to throw it out of bounds,
I saw it as, he was trying not to get the pass blocked by the rusher,
so, he had to throw it over him, and it just sailed out of bounds.

I get what you're saying, but I still feel they did a pretty good job,
except for those three plays is what I was pointing out.

IMO, I felt the fumbles was more costly, in which it stopped our drive,
and gave the Eagles two FGs for 6pts.

It’s like saying “we played pretty good pass defense if you ignore those 3 60 yard TD bombs”.

The Rams gave up almost 300 yards rushing.

That’s not good defense. Very few teams win giving up 300 yards on the ground.
