POST #1 TOPIC AUTHOR Last edited by AvengerRam on Jan 20 2025, edited 1 time in total. It's easy after a close loss to focus on a handful of plays and conclude "we should have won."If Cooper DeJean's muff doesn't bounce to him...If we recover Jalen Hurts' fumble...If Kyren doesn't fumble...If we don't give up a sack on the final drive...But, if it had gone our way, what do you think Eagles fans would be saying? If we don't miss two extra points...If A.J. Brown comes secures the catch in bounds...If the missed handoff from Stafford to Kyren bounces to a defender...If we don't have a false start on 4th down at the one-inch line...That's how close games are.Think about 2021. To win it all, we had to hold off a Tampa comeback and get into field goal range in 42 seconds, stage a 4th quarter comeback against San Francisco, and come back and then hold the lead against the Bengals. What do you think their fans said after those games? Probably something like "we should have won."The Rams fought hard yesterday and it could have gone either way. This time, it went against us. We could have won.Should have? That's just fanspeak. by rams1974 5 months 2 weeks ago Total posts: 585 Joined: Sep 15 2022 LA Coliseum Veteran In close games, "we should have won" is rarely a good take. POST #2 AvengerRam liked this post Very good thoughts.Watching this game I was reminded of the 2001 NFCC vs the Eagles .. it was a very close game, and the Rams had numerous bounces go their way - second snap Eagles fumble, Sorenson fumbling a KR that the Rams managed to recover. I thought the Rams should have understood how lucky they were to win that game and clean things up .. yeah .. that team did many things well, but learn from mistakes wasn't one of them. The little bounces went mostly the Eagles way, Rams couldn't generate game changing plays from them .. cliche but "that's football." 1 by bremillard 5 months 2 weeks ago Total posts: 697 Joined: Sep 30 2019 LA Coliseum Veteran In close games, "we should have won" is rarely a good take. Winning at this level is hard and quite often it comes down to inches. It was both exciting and heartbreaking. 1 Reply 1 / 1 Display: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by: AuthorPost timeSubject Sort by: AscendingDescending Jump to: Forum Rams/NFL Other Sports Rams Fans United Q&A's Board Business 3 posts Jul 05 2025
