Very simple. This reminds me of Rams bucs. Everybody liked Brady and we shut his ass down. And that was against a Super Bowl winning coach arians.

Against Hurts and Siriani im confident. The media isn’t saying how Hurt Hurts is.

Saquon rushed for 254 against us how you stop him.

Better load that box. This coming down to our DBs Darius Williams Jacoby Durant and Witherspoon.

If we can stop Devonte Smith and Aj Brown we will win. You know they will force feed AJ Brown after last week. And watch Goeddert.

I trust Strafford I’m riding with Stafford in a playoff game. We have way too much firepower. I disagree with the other post Cooper Kupp Tyler Higbee Kyren Williams Puka Nakua and Robinson is way too much firepower. The Eagles have no answer for that. If our offensive line can give Stafford time to throw we can easily win this game. Our defensive line has to get to Hurts. It wont be like that like it was with Darnold. Darnold was a sitting duck. Hurts will run around. You have to play contain on him cause he can run around you the gameplan with Shula will be Verse spy Hurts play contain dont neccesarily sack him or go after him keep him in the pocket and gangtackle him. Guys keep your assignment well stop Saquoun. Rams 28- Eagles-17.

Philadelphia is very strong on the LOS. That’s always been their MO. Honestly, they are probably stronger or equal to us everywhere except HC and QB. That’s not saying we’re weak on the LOS, we’re not. We should be able to hold up on the OL against their front 7. They’ve got some injuries there.

I think a key to the game will be how our boys on the DL do against their OL. We can’t let Barkley have room to make splash plays. If we’re successful controlling Barkley, then we’ve got a great shot at beating them.

I’m pumped that Higbee may play. That would be a huge factor. Eagles don’t defend TEs well. They leave space in the middle especially to TEs.

McVay and Stafford are different beasts in the playoffs. This game will be close.

The strength of the Eagles OL is their run blocking, it's how they are built. In pass blocking they are good but no better than units the Rams have already faced. It's going to come down to Shula's scheme.

IMO Shula could move Hoecht to play more of an ILB in this game or more of a Barkley spy. He's probably one of the better run defenders on the defense. The defense doesn't have to stop Barkley they simply have to limit the damage he does.

The key will be the offense. The offense must keep the pressure on the Eagles. They must score early and often. That will be a tall task because of the projected weather may not be good. That said, if the offense can make the Eagles play from behind and force them to play of a more passing game, they have a chance. Hurts is a good QB but IMO not a great QB. He's an extension of their run game.

Just remember the Rams beat the Bills who IMO are a much better team overall in a shootout. The defense made just enough plays to allow the offense to carry the game. It could be another game like that.

I think this is a bigger challenge to the Rams than Detroit. If the Rams are going to get stopped in their SB run it will be vs the Eagles. Beat the Eagles and the Ram's odds of making the SB are huge. The Rams are built to match up to the Lions and teams like them.

My only concern about playing the Eagles in the playoffs more than anything was playing in their weather. If the weather is simply cold than it could be a big advantage. A cold ball inhibits long passes and impacts the kicking game, two things the Rams can deal with. Stopping a power run game on a frozen field is going to be a problem due to footing.

Beat the Eagles in their house in potentially poor weather and I honestly feel this team will be in the SB. The Ram DL is Jared's worse nightmare. So this is the biggest roadblock remaining for the Rams.

I think with a rested Stafford the Rams definitely have a shot. I honestly think Matt's tendonitis was flaring up and that was the major reason for the rest in week 18. McVay knew he needed Matt to be at 100% or as close to it as possible to beat the Eagles and Lions. I think it was the reason McVay took his foot off the gas vs the Vikings in the second half once he saw how the defense was dominating. The Rams need to go through the top three teams (record wise) in this playoffs. A healthy team with Matt being healthy is the only way they are going to do it.

Just a little cooperation in the weather and playing mistake free (which the Rams can control) is all that I ask for.

On paper, they seemed to have advantages in all the key match ups - including the weather. This is going to be a monumental task. Defense has to create turnovers, offense has to stay on the field and protect the ball. Scoring touchdowns, not FGs is also critical. This game will either be close, or the Rams get boat raced. Don’t see the Rams blowing them out at all. Gonna need some “puck luck” to win this one. But it can be done.

So far weather showing 37 deg with no precip until after the game. This aint no NJ Jets game.

Also rather face Saquon and Hurts on grass, slow them down a tick. Got to keep Saquon bottled up more, total team defense will be required, hope we dont need to over commit to guys in the box.

Rams will def need to possess the ball and find a way to bottle up Hurts. IMO that will be the key to the game...can we keep Hurts in the pocket?? He has broken our back in the past often leaking out for 10 yards on 3rd and 8.

Going to overall need our defense that has played the last month and the offense to do its thing. Special well also need to play the field position well and make FG's.

I see it Rams 24-20.

The weather projection I saw showed a front moving in over the weekend. Hopefully it holds off until after the game. If it's dry and in the 30's that would be great and not a factor. I think Barkley ran wild last time because schematically Shula was limited in how to use his young guys. They have improved with every game. I think this will be a different defense the Eagles will face. As long as the weather is moderate I think they will limit Barkley.

I honestly believe this is likely to be a tougher matchup than the Lions who aren't the same defensively. I'm not taking the Lions lightly, but this matchup isn't as favorable as it would be if the Rams win and face the Lions.

In fact the Commanders could beat the Lions and then if the Rams win the Championship game will be at SoFi. For the Commanders it very well could come down to one crucial 4th down stop when Campbell should have but doesn't punt. Sooner or later that uber aggressiveness is going to slap Campbell in the face. You think the fanbase uproar in MN over Darnold is loud if that happens it's going to explode all over Campbell in Detroit. The thing that is most impressive about McVay is how much he has reigned in his penchant to chase points instead of playing the game as it comes to him. Campbell has yet to learn that lesson, and maybe he never will.

Ball control should be the game plan.
If they can get the ground game rolling I believe they win.

Let me give you some context to this post.

When I was in the Navy one of my best friends was a guy who was born and raised in Minneapolis and to this day he's a staunch Eagles fan. We were roommates when we were stationed in San Diego. We both still love that town. He moved back to San Diego about 10 yrs ago and we resumed our close friendship.

So I called him this morning and we talked football among other things. Among the things he said was the Rams might have caught a lucky break. He said the Eagles have been struggling somewhat for the last few weeks. A few of their key players probably won't play. He named them but I can't remember who he said. He said everyone watched the Rams destroy the Vikings and they were pissed because they wanted the Vikings because like all the other teams the last team they want to face are the Rams.

He said Hurts isn't playing like he did pre-concussion and the fans are wondering whether he's still feeling it. My friend said the injury report for the Eagles will be key for the Rams. He also agreed that if the Rams somehow shut down or limit Barkley the Eagles could be in trouble depending upon how Hurts plays. If he returns to normal he thinks the Eagles will still have a run game with Hurts and they do have good WRs.

The fans are hoping for a blizzard because they like everyone else assumes the Ram's won't be able to play well simply because they aren't used to it. Otherwise if the weather holds, then he and many others are expecting a close game.

Just thought I'd pass it along.
