Did you ever notice that the Texans always seem to get the early Saturday playoff games. NFL must consider them an undesirable team ratings wise

Texans are a warm up game for mahomes and company. There is literally no chance mahomes loses this game.

Hurts looks awful. Eagles are winning despite him. If we win tonight I don’t think we can win in Philadelphia, but it will be because of the environment and Barkley. Playing in Philadelphia is like playing in a 3rd world country. Might as well play in Beirut.

Based on what I’ve seen so far, Detroit is going to the SB. Everything is shaping up to be their year.

Word around town is the Chargers had several players who live in areas directly affected by the recent firestorm. That's exactly how the team played. I hope the Rams don't suffer that fate. Much of the immediate threat has been downgraded so hopefully the Rams come in fully prepared to play football.

I am so saddened by what is going on in LA. Even more than that, it makes me angry. I get that that this was an extreme wildfire event with crazy winds. But from everything I've read and seen the terrible effects have been exacerbated by incompetence in local and state government. Those administrators blindly didn't protect the great people of LA and that is their first obligation over anything else. My daughter and grandsons live in Half Moon Bay and I worry about them. Hopefully this is the wake up call that will change things in CA, but I am skeptical that enough people will recognize that change is needed.

This was equivilant to a CAT 5 hurricane in the damage it has inflicted. How does anyone prepare for this level of calamity? I've owned 3 homes in Socal including the one I now live in. When making purchase decisions like that I factor in risk. I would never buy a house that lies within a moderate to high risk area for flood, mudslides or fire. The people that do kind of get what they get. If they aren't insured or could no longer get insurance that should be a big red flag. Naivte and/or denial doesn't keep the house from burning, sliding, or being washed away. Assuming the government is capable of protecting from every conceivable occurance won't end well in many situations. I KNOW that my homeowners insurance rate at least partially reflects the risks that others are willing to take. This pisses me off at some level but understand the nature of insurance is risk spreading. If I get to the point where that bothers me I will leave for greener pastures.

I am usually pumped outta my mind for Rams playoff football. That has been tamped down this time around based on the devastation. Football is awesome. However, it rides in the back of the bus called “life” during these very chaotic, unsafe, and uncertain times. Yea, I will be into tonight. But win or lose, it’s still just a kids game played by and ran by very wealthy men. We don’t live and die based on our Rams’ performance. Although at times it can seem that way.

Enjoy the game and the respite from the destruction in LA. Hope for a Rams win. But don’t take it too hard if they “don’t get the results they are huntin’ up” - it’s just a game.

Be safe Ramily. See you all in the chat tonight.

Go Rams!

It doesn't just seem that way, it is that way. Every WC playoff game they've ever played has been in the early Saturday window...

Rams were technically the home team so home teams went 5-1 straight up and against the spread.

All 4 of the 1 and 2 seeds in play for the divisional round, though Buffalo is a 1 point home dog, at least in some places...
