1. Because Mitchell and the Eagles beat us head to head, and

2. The amount of missed tackels and sacks from Verse will hurt him. Those numbers matter. But most of all....

3. Because voters will look at the top 3 rookies and say "Look, Verse had Fiske's help, and Fiske had Verses help. Neither would be as good without the help of the other, and Mitchell did it all by himself." :roll2:

Would love to be wrong about this especially because, homerism aside, I truly belive Verse deserves it.

Nope it is Verse's to win. He gets 2-3 more sacks by the end of the year he will win it for sure. Fiske is his biggest competition honestly.

Eagles and Rams sure did pretty good with their first two picks. Rams have number one and number three in odds for ROY. Eagles have number two and number four. Our guys are in the trenches. Where most games are won and lost. Plus, you see Verse and Fiske push each other. It becomes a competition to who gets to the quarterback most. That can only make them both better.

Jared Verse makes the ProBowl! Only Ram player to make it this year.

Turner, Fiske and K Will should have made it too. One could argue Puka as well with his stats over 11 games.

The best part of this story is he wasn't in the top 10 in fan voting. That's only 1/3 of how they determine the players on the team. The other 2/3 is determined by coaches and players.

Coaches and players from other teams got him in. Respect from your peers and those in the know is much better than a fan appreciation award.

He's going to win DROY unless the press screws him out of it like Turner last year.

Yeah Kobie AND Puka got screwed last year. Puka even more than Turner. How does a guy set the rookie record for receptions and yards AS A 5TH ROUND PICK and not win OROY? Major screwing.

Verse should win, hands down but watch them give it to Q Mitchell from Philly!!!

I completely agree. Puka deserved the OPOY probably more. The problem is that award, much like MVP, has turned into a QB award. I think there's way to much slant towards QB'S because of the statistics. They almost need a couple of added awards just for QB'S. QB of the year and rookie QB of the year. It needs a separate category or remove the bias tilt towards the QB position.

Totally agree. They do have Offensive player of the year. Which they could then do away with. I’m not even sure what “most valuable” means?? To the league? To your team? If it’s to your team, how could Burrow NOT win it.
