Not me, brother. I fully expect the Cardinals to continue their patented late-season collapse. That's Kyler Murray playing QB for the birds, not Warner or Palmer. And it's late December -- Losin' Time.

My prediction: Rams win 42-10.

I think if AZ has to go with RB2 or RB3 (as some have reported as being possible), it makes them much more one-dimensional.

I have a feeling the Rams freight train the cards. Not so much about revenge, although that is there too, but more the Rams are really hungry and playing very connected ball. And if there is any chance at clinching, all the players would like a little extra rest before the playoffs.

This is how I see the game unfolding. The Cards will come out fired up to play spoiler. The Rams must weather that effort by playing stout on defense and offense. The key to taking the air out of a team with nothing to play for except being a spoiler is forcing them to play from behind. If the offense proves it can't be stopped, the game will be over IMO before the 4th quarter.

Against the Panthers the Cards had every reason to play hard. But they allowed a team they should have overmatched to stick around giving them hope of an upset. The Cards played from behind the entire game until they tied it with a FG with about 5 min or so to go in the 4th. Then they lost it in OT. That is exactly what the Rams can't do.

The Rams should have put the Jets down early but didn't and they almost didn't win. IMO this is the Ram's game to lose. The media is right in one regard about the Rams. The offense has yet to show it's killer instinct. The Bills came in over confident and didn't put the game away early. That fueled that wild Ram's win. The Rams must not make the same mistake.

The Cards got caught looking a week ahead and it cost them big. The Rams must not make the same mistake. They must understand they are basically in the playoffs right now. Win out or go home. I think the Ram coaches understand what I'm saying and are trying hard to keep the team intensely focused upon each week.

IMO this season is all about coaching for the Rams. So far the coaches have proved themselves with a masterful season with a very young roster. The playoffs start Sunday and won't stop until they lift another Lombardi Trophy in Feb.

The reason I don't assume it's Stafford is because it will be his decision and he might not want to do it. Also paying him $50M to be a one year bridge is a bit expensive.

I think their first option would be Darnold but that has a whole lot of moving parts and it will be very expensive. They have proven they draft well, hell even Goff is a top tier QB1 now. They say this is a mediocre draft for QBs. I don't believe it. Talent can be found in every draft if you know what you are looking at.

Hell even the Niners stumbled upon Purdy as the last guy in the draft. Now they are blowing it by trying to sign him on the cheap. Purdy sees top dollar being paid to guys all around him but they won't pay him when he's delivered? Dumbshits can't make up their mind and will probably lose him because of it.

People laughed at me when I had Maye ahead of Williams and Penix and Nix in the top 4 this past draft. Williams IMO is a 3 year project QB which isn't a #1. Williams, Nix and Penix's game play translates better to the NFL.

Leonard and Allar might be available in the middle of round one if not later. Both of their skillset translates well into McVay's offense. Give both a redshirt year at #2QB and both project as year 2 starters. Looking at their success in the last two drafts, how they nailed those drafts, I don't see why they would hesitate since they simply won't need a year one starter with either Matt or Jimmy starting 2025. IMO the contract escalations coming in a couple of years seem to dictate drafting a QB.

I don't think this is lost on Stafford which is why he pressed for more guaranteed money as even he can see the writing on the wall. The fact that he wanted that guaranteed money is because I think he doesn't see himself playing as a lame-duck QB.

That is why I think the Rams will go all out not just to make the playoffs, but to secure the best seeding possible for a legit run at the SB. I don't see this team not being laser focused each week from here on out.
