I'm not concerned whether the Bears win or not. If they do great! But to pin hopes on others when it's not necessary is more worry than it's worth. The easiest most direct path is for the Rams to win the next 2 games. This gives them momentum they will need going into the playoffs.

Both the Cards and Hawks are reeling from self inflicted wounds. The Hawks had it all in front of them but choked with the help of Metcalf which is surprising. Even the guys in the booth were shocked. Mark Sanchez who was part of the announcing team was shocked and said on air immediately that there was no way Metcalfs route gaff wasn't intentional. He said DK knew full well how to run the route. Hell even Sanchez could see what the route was supposed to be. Don't think that isn't lost on both the coaches and team. To say the team isn't affected by it would be wrong. Geno was furious at the time and probably still is. DK was essentially taking potential playoff paydays from all his team mates.

Murray's flat play the second half of the season every year speaks volumes about his lack of commitment and work ethic. For the Rams to lose to either of these teams would be a bigger indictment on the Rams. They almost gave it away in NY and they cannot do that in these two games. You don't give the opposition a reason to beat you by handing them gifts.

Play clean and this team is talented enough to beat anyone, particularly these last two teams.

I would much rather go into week 18 with the option of resting players and getting everyone as healthy as they can be for the WC round.

But it is nice to know that no matter what happens this week, Rams can win the division by beating Seattle in week 18...

You would think professional players with pride would go all out. Even when there is nothing to play for. Everyone loves to play spoiler when they're out of the running. But this Bears team sure looks like they gave up lately. Head coach was fired. Interim coach isn't any better.

I want Seattle to win tomorrow and us beat the Cardboard and play the meaningful showdown game next week. None of this resting starters bullshit. 10-7 sucks. 11 wins or bust!

I'll totally disagree with you,

win it as soon as we can.

There is nothing wrong with sitting the starters,

it's all about the second season.

Getting an injury during the regular season,

especially at the end of the season doesn't help for the playoffs.

That being said, I still would expect McVay trying to win this game with his backups.

Plus, it does give our backups some playing time and experience,

just in case one of our starters get hurt during the playoffs, they can step in.

Resting starters last year did nothing for us against Detroit.

It's football. Injuries happen.

Giving backups experience now will do nothing for the playoffs. Too little, too late.

These guys are paid tons of money to play the game. Play to win. Always.

What are you talking about?
playing backup and getting reps,
helps out a whole lot, especially for a QB!
Plus, you want all of your starters as much as possible,
especially during the playoffs, because you don't get a second chance.

Look at what happen during our first five games of the season with backups,
when we didn't have our predicted starting unit from the start of the season. 1-4

As far as last season, we played a good team
and played a good game, just came up 1 point short.
we needed every main starter for that game.

Seattle is playing for their playoff lives tomorrow. They'll be amped and ready to go. But it is in Chicago. 41 degrees. 5 to 10 mph winds. Real feel of 37. And Chicago has nothing to lose. A bounce here, a bounce there. It could happen.

The thing is, we could rest guys vs Arizona if Seattle wins. Because the hole card is the Seattle game, either way.

If resting our starters and losing by one point to a good team in a wildcard game meant something to you then by all means get their sleep number and let them go Beddy-Bye Butterfly.

Play to win!

Thats why you are in Utah, and Coach McVay is coaching the RAMs,

I'll take his advice over yours!!! :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Lets see:

1 SB win

two SB appearance

two NFC titles

3 Division titles, soon to be four

5 playoff appearance, soon to be six

All in eight years.

Yep, I'll stick with his coaching philosophy! :D :D :D
